Definitely ANGEL, SPHINX, WISH.

The fourth item is a stumper.
FIGURE for a supernatural person only glimpsed?
HIDE because the supernatural world is often depicted as hiding from the mundane world?
LIFE is sorta metaphysical, is metaphysics the same as supernatural?
RAM as an example of something from Greek myth?
I don't really like any of those fourth-word options, though. Hoping my teammates see a stronger connection.

ANGEL and SPHINX are both obvious
POTTER seems likely, wizards can be supernatural
For the last one I think WISH, although I can also see DOCTOR as an option

Oh, I didn't think of Harry Potter!  That seems like a reasonable number 4 guess as well.

In order:
ANGEL seems like a lock.
WISHes are generally granted by supernatural beings.
The SPHINX is a mythical, i.e. supernatural, creature.
Harry POTTER deals with magic and the supernatural.
A mysterious FIGURE may be supernatural.
Two people may have a supernatural BOND.

I think if we hit a grey the last one is doctor for doctor who. I think potter is a better guess than wish, but I think the consensus leans wish over potter.

SOLDIER naturally.
TURKEY - First Crusade was justified by the Pope in part because of Seljuk Turks robbing and attacking pilgrims.
There existed several Crusader STATEs.

The fourth word is fuzzier to me, but I like DOCTOR for the Hospitaller order of Crusaders.

A Crusader is a religious SOLDIER.
The crusades are connected to the Middle East and TURKEY.

European STATES sent crusaders to fight.

I feel very good about the first two and lean STATE for the third. But then it gets harder.

The goal of the crusades was to capture Jerusalem. When that was achieved the paladins fortified (built a FENCE around) the city.
The crusaders were plentiful and thus made up many BOOTS on the ground?
Maybe they could be WHIPPED (forced) to fight?
