[SPOLERS] yuris125, Pitboss 71. The battle Warrior of Light is unlikely to win

No invasion from Thoth. He did road the tile where the stack was. Guess it was the case of protecting workers, and he's preparing for a push against SD

Commodore declared on Krill, who just finished Hanging Gardens. But I'll leave comments on foreign news to those who actually have the full picture lol

Lost a worker to a barb warrior using road I built many turns ago (it came from the marked tile)

No regrets. Was an acceptable risk (most risks are acceptable in my current position)

Iron city should be up in 3 turns (iron itself a few turns later, because buiding fort on ice takes forever)

Peace treaty with SD expired this turn, but he's at war with Thoth and Krill, so **probably** isn't coming after me. Probably. I think

Oh, Commodore just declared on SD as well. Someone's popular in this world

(these are the only ongoing wars at the moment)

Only sad thing about this is that I hoped to attack SD myself after getting some elephants, but by the time I do, there will be nothing left

And now I die

To be expected really, a chance of recovery was always very slim

For honor!

Yeah, it was a slim chance, but you had to try. It was a valiant effort that I believe will be remembered. Which city do you believe he'll go for first?

He has workers with the stack, and has visibility of Kugane over water. So I think Kugane is more likely. Even though taking Ishgard would cut off copper, but he can also expect it to be better defended

I moved archers from Ishgard to be between the cities, and set up single pop axe whips in both cities

Actually looking at the screenshot now, the smartest move Thoth can make is road the tile 2N of Kugane and move the stack SW-SE. Then if I commit to reinforcing Kugane, he just moves towards Ishgard and I can't move my units back

With this in mind, moving the archers out of Ishgard and losing fortification bonus probably was a mistake - don't think there's any way to save Kugane, and holding on to Ishgard for as long as possible is way more important for metal access

No attack by Thoth. Looks like Pindicator just declared on him, and that lets me live a little longer

Btw, I settled the iceball for iron/furs. Last turn, when it looked like I was about to be in last stand mode, I was going to move it onto the iron, just to hold on to metals for longer in case copper gets pillaged. But now that I have a few extra turns, I settled as planned - in case I don't die by some miracle, I want the city to be at least mildly useful

Accepted. I'm not ready to build elephants yet, and I do owe Thoth for copper he gave me during SD war
