Werewolf 13: Lurker Thread [No Live Players]

Interesting, both alpha slots (Tall and Short) were open as choices the village would have believed.

Are we clearing zak with this line of thinking? maybe he is silver and this is fat pack's way of getting a silver dead during the day. Maybe they would pursue this path if they converted a villager (or two now?!) and are confidently going into some kind of endgame play. The numbers are dwindling quickly - this could be plausible.

That takes me back to my 3.3.3 comment - 3 packs, 3 silvers, 3 sleepers and zak is the third silver (although i wasnt inspired by his defense of this claim at all - a complete reversal of how he was able to convince me of anything before the reveal).

oops while I was posting he made a defense - so my comment referred to the action yesterday - although he may not have had a chance to defend before Bigger's counter-reveal

By the way, I hope you don't feel down about my take on the setup, Lewwyn (I see you are very involved with the game). It was a fun game and it was interesting to thing about possible setups and everything. In the end, what turns me down the most is the inactivity of some players. I think I spent most of day 1 and 2 reasoning with wolves, not villagers.

The game was just a bit too fast (lots of night kills) and too based on wolf vs. wolf action. But I liked how the game was very different from the other ones.

And I have to admit that, while the setup had a bunch of ways to go wrong, in my mind, it ended up being pretty epic so far.

waterbat. A silverwolf that claims (the way zak did) would get ripped publicly from his silver. (read uberfishs PM earlier). As this did not happen we here know that zak lied with this claim. The village of course does not it and all will now depend on Biggers 'scan-result'

Zakalwe is putting up a heroic defence, lol

The only trouble is that there's no way he can explain why Rowain would sacrifice himself to get Zak lynched on a false accusation.

duh. forgot entirely about the public ripping. oh well smile

what do you guys think of his dying accusation of sareln? serdoa doesnt mention it in his reply, which is also interesting.

I hear your concerns Ichabod, and honestly I'm not down about what you said because I can appreciate the perspective. Thing is that your experience as a villager does have a lot to do with how the village plays as a group, and I think there were more inactives in this game than most.

As for the meta discussion, I mean that happens in every game. I admit its a little harder to ignore in this game with 3 people dying every night, but you do have to put it somewhat aside. Play the player not the meta. lol

As for villagers feeling powerless against the wolves... That is sort of intentional. I mean in terms of story, you have werewolves attacking mostly normal villagers. Its pretty horrifying. lol

That said, while it is possible for the villagers to be wiped out without killing wolves, it's also possible for the wolves to be crippled very early and end up like WW12 where the village won by a landslide. I wanted to prevent that as much as possible and try to get us to a true endgame. When you look at the setup you have to realize that wolves are self destructive.

We're sort of starting to get into territory that I'm going to talk about after the game, but one last thing about knowledge, the wolves have more knowledge about what going on but they didn't have all the knowledge. Compare that to a normal 1 pack game. The wolves know all the villagers but they don't know about a seer or baner. They have much more knowledge about the game but they don't have all the knowledge. Villagers in a normal setup know nothing same as here. In both cases its the same. However, in this game there were more things different from a normal game so you're experiencing a higher shock level based on assumptions you'd made. But that was part of my goal. I stated in the setup that there would be new elements.

Also about speed, it was my intention for this to be a faster game.

I really want to go over the finer points with you, but I can't without spoiling some elements, confirming some of your suspicions but revealing what has actually happened in this game. I guess we'll just have to wait a bit.

On a general note, I never said there were 10 normal villagers. Maybe I should have just said less than 10, but I was sort of considering the masons to be normal villagers.

It'd be pretty funny if zak really is the silverblood and the village lynches him for claiming it
