I can't imagine a better build for BoM next than a Lighthouse. That's too much food to ignore, especially given that RatT can take the Corn full time.

Agreed. Next building is definetely a Lighthouse. I'm considering a settler after the library, though.

Yes, their city "France" is in that landmass and their 9th city actually shows with the option to liberate to us, so it has a chance of being there too.

Bottleneck is the settler, which I'm considering building in RatT. We already have a Galley and a phalanx for defense. I'll take a look at possible timings once I can log in again.

Bottleneck is the settler, which I'm considering building in RatT. We already have a Galley and a phalanx for defense. I'll take a look at possible timings once I can log in again.

We can get it in 5 with a whip, which I think I'll do.

MoM That strikes me as incredibly early. Well, we can safely assume someone else has Marble in case we end up in a race for Taj or some other Marble wonder.

I know I keep saying many different things, but the No Man's Land between WLP and the West has two good city spots. I'm not sure how he would view us settling for the sheep, but it seems that it's closer to our Capital and thus legitimately "ours." Better not to even try and focus on slow and the Islands?

The problem is that WLP is currently number 1 in power. He's at war with 3 people at the same time, but he was the one declaring on Bacchus and the one not taking peace with me. Besides, retep won't last long with his 3 cities (2 of them size 1). We can't defend those cities while Slow still lives, I think.

Anyway, I agree about the 2 good spots. We could settle the plains sheep with a city 3W or 3W1N of WF, which wouldn't be an agressive plant. The grass sheep probably needs to wait. The good thing is, if WLP settles those cities, defending them will be a pain for him, especially since we are already working together with Bacchus (I'm hoping that alliance will stay alive and WLP will always have 2-front threats).

Anyway, we need to wait and see how things develop. But that's a good thing to have in mind.

BTW, I'm not really worried about MoM being built. It's a 18 player game where marble abounds (a lot of the players have it, from the trade screen). It's very likely that one of the teams beelined Calendar to get the MoM, since it's a good/famous wonder. It'd start being a problem if the team that did that also had Currency, for example.

I think Pyramids are still up for grabs, by the way. Obviously we won't get them, but it's an interesting note.

I changeb BoM and RatT's micro last turn, which enabled the option of the fast settler + no delay on the library. I think i'll chop a third ring forest into BoM lighthouse, since I'm not planning to settle a city to get that forest on the BFC.

A heavy storm toasted the internet connection in my house, so I'm having to rely on a 3G modem that sucks. Hopefully things will get sorted out soon, but that makes playing very time consuming and updating basically impossible. Just as I was on a roll.
