It's fine, I was just able to log in and play turns 28 and 29. Pictures... later? Had to get my sister from the airport at 2 am so hey, why not play the turn when I finally get back. Thanks, though. Wendy Corduroy will be settled T30 as planned. We're last in score now with the whip, though. I think we're the first people to whip.

The people of Gravity Falls find themselves in a strange world. Unknown artifacts of a seemingly previous civilization litter the land, but no sign, no clue of who left them remains. While many of these ruins feature familiar designs, others are completely unknown. Do they serve a purpose? A message? Or simply a hint of the eerie forces that once shaped this world. The truth is out there....

Hey people and lurkers, I want to try to make a new sandbox on a toroidal map, but is there a way for me to edit the map to be the same dimensions as this one?? I was about to start rebuilding the world map until I realized it probably wouldn't fit right.

I'm going to have to put the pictures up later but major events of this turn:
*Finished Agriculture, starting Pottery
*Settled second city (and started corn farm with new tech!)
*Found Genghis Khan of Zulu!!
Of course the zulu are my neighbors again.... at least they are further away, though! They already have their second city. Should we try to scout some more of their land, or just keep going? (There's a warrior in the area that could threaten our scout if we're not careful.) Also, I am planning to send one of our warriors to the southern "sentry" location to keep that locked down early.

Map thoughts: I don't think I've seen enough to really make a good call, but... so far the food and resource placement definitely seems like it's going to force some tough decisions on where to settle (though finding the Zulu has already lead to a case of "the grass is greener," they got a pre-camped furs, and their gold is on a plains hill next to a river, mine's on a dry desert hill). There seems to be a lot of space, but there might be less than I think if I've just missed my neighbors. I've got some nice distance from the Zulu, but we'll bump into each other sooner or later. At least there's no tundra and no big jungle belt as far as I can tell.

Also, my plane leaves early tomorrow. I'll try to get the turn in. I should be home in time... maybe? Well, hopefully it works out.

Turn played, about to leave so pictures later. Next turn will probably roll soon, but I want to experiment with doing something else with the 2nd worker to see how that compares to the last sim I did.
We met the Romans, somehow. No sign of their culture or units, so it might be one of their scouts made contact with one of our units or moved out of our view. I cautiously advanced our scout and the Zulu Warrior had moved 1NW. I'm still paranoid about an ambush, but I'd like to get to one of those hills to see if we can get a view on a city.
