Sean Bean is the narrator, the advisor is voiced by what I think is Natasha Loring attempting her best Yorkshire to match him.

South African ... so, I was even more wrong.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Game Started. Norwegian. Berserker and longships.
I settled in place ... not knowing any difference. Am I trying to get food, production, features, other in Civ6? Started a scout and moved my warrior West. Tech is set for mining.
Q3: Can I / How do I change the player name?
Q4: Can I / How do I change the city name?
Q5: Can I / How do I change a unit's name?

Q3: As far as I know you can't. It either matches your civ leader name (SP?) or your steam name (MP)
Q4: Click the city banner to bring up the city info box (appears lower right). The icon above the info box that looks like a piece of paper (the leftmost one) will bring up the city info display on the left side of the screen. Click the city name at that top of that display to change.
Q5: IIRC you can't until the unit gets its second promotion. At that point you'll see a feather icon in the unit's action icons. Click that and you can rename the unit.

City name changed to Ruff Town (thx SubO). Scout still in production, warrior found Amsterdam and I read up about City States.
Interesting to see that every tile has a level of Appeal. Best I have seen is 'breathtaking (5)'.

As someone who is also trying to learn Civ6, I'll be following along. I've tried to follow a few threads but by and large I have no clue what's going on either

A barbarian scout turned up ... within striking distance of my warrior. Sure ... lets attack. Scout survived and warrior picked up XPs. You can have draws in Civ6?
Here is strategic view ... not as pretty as normal, but I can see it has its uses.
I am starting to second guess my tech (mining). I have stone once my city expands (must google how that happens) but I have lots of food (2 x rice and wheat). Which is better in Civ6, production or food?

Q6: Is there a log of what happened (ie combat results) in Civ6? If so, where?

From my very limited experience, production is more important than food early on. There are a bunch of things you want to build to get early eurekas and no way to do it but with natural production, and the housing mechanic discourages trying to grow a single city early on.
No idea about a combat log.

That is good info ... I shall aim for more production.
