Simultaneous is not a dealbreaker, after all one can enforce a permanent split in game but since the game ends up mostly sequential anyway in later stages, might as well get the benefits of actually using sequential mode.

I have fears about turnpace and mainly my own ability to keep to a regular schedule, but I won't be a stickler against sequential

"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

I’m going to have to step out of this game. Looking ahead a couple months I’m kicking off a new venture which is going to hit right when this game gets interesting. I’m just not going to have enough enough time to commit to a game of Civ.
Map characteristics, as posted on the discord:
Map dimensions are 40x40, 745 total land tiles (including peaks and deserts) for 145 per player but it feels less. There are no clearly defined areas, and the borders are worth fighting over without being overly lush. I think it's slightly more food rich than my other maps, but I tried not to overdo it. Also, I don't think I added a single plains sheep.
What did we decide about reusing snake pick, civ, leaders and starting screenshots?
