I have never regretted moving my first settler onto a plains hill as much as I do now:
Tundra AND Desert AND Snow in the first screenshot!? It's amazing, I love it.
I'm seriously wondering if I should move my settler east and spend 2 more turns going for the plains hill that I know was in the BFC, but the Sheep is not within range of that . So this is probably the spot I settle. What an awful, awful city. It's just like Great Plains without the green!
In seriousness, I need to save some of these forests to turn into lumbermills later on. I'm already planning on a beeline to Machinery, so we can at least get some pseudo-hills out of that. City #2 needs to be a commerce city to make up for how awful the capital is. 1 green tile. Oh wait, 2: the hill Pigs are on grass.
Need to work out the tech rate for getting to AH. I might need to go through Agriculture just so I put farms down elsewhere. But Hunting is nice for PRO archers.
Finally, I need lurker help for civ adjectives:
Should Grandmaster be the adjective instead of the Empire name? Something like World Champions? (Sounds a little pretentious if the other players don't realize it's a chess theme.)
Also, I'm thinking about naming the capital Morphy. Open to other suggestions.
