That is somewhat hard to answer. I became aware at turn 60 but it was quite clear for ~30 turns that there was going to be a race at some point. But it shouldn't matter since we agreed to solve settler races by coinflip at the start of the game.

But there is a need for a coinflip between greenline and me next turn since we both could found a city that would block the other players city.

Hi, if you are still here, there was a question I meant to ask but forgot. How did you generate a great artist? By my count, you had no sources available. Back then I thought the only explanation was that you ran some artists in Agra during a golden age a long time ago and got incredibly lucky. But now I think maybe you had some event that gave you a free artist?

I ran some artist during my first golden age and had a bit less than 50% to get one. Rebuilding Delhi with it would have been great but you anticipated that. I thought about using it in the north but it wouldn't have done much so I just kept it for potential future use.
