Roman, for the mining/fishing/praetorian?

We get to pick leader now too, don't we? Pacal II? Expansive and financial.

financial is pretty... meh imo. Expansive is really only good for granaries(?)

If u go Rome, id go something with AGG to get the most bang/lasting time out of them. str 8.8 units dominate for awhile.

I like Kublia khan. But maybe Hammurabi would be a good pick since apparently navies will play a factor.

Yes, you're last in the snakepick so you get to pick both at once, guaranteeing synergy.

FINancial is probably still one of the stronger traits, but it's just so very boring: cottages everywhere! EXPansive is in a pretty good spot I think: Yes, the main benefit is getting early granaries up to feed the snowball, but with the changes to circumnavigation you get a small economic infusion in the Renaissance when building harbors. Then you get a last minor boost in the Industrial era when aqueducts are needed. Or, you could pair it with something like Khmer.

Personally, I find AGGressive to be overkill for Rome. Besides, AGG is more to get the cheap second promotion than the free first one.

Ok, as a compromise between all three of us, I'll go expansive aggressive (Shaka), and place the selection now to keep the show on the road.

I disagree with Tarkeel. Picking AGG with praets gives them substantially more oomph. And with AGG being a better trait in CTH it's worth taking.

Just as well I went with aggressive then smile

Don't compromise, go for what you believe in and want to play. With that said, Shaka is a leader I *do* like, but you need to build granaries to take advantage.

So, workboat -> settler -> worker -> settler -> granary?

Workboat-worker-settler

ALMOST always want a worker before a settler. like 99.999999999999% of the time.
