Really? I'll have a look at it and try to fix it when I can get to the comp where I have the report.

EDIT: They work for me on this comp and as the report was written and uploaded on another comp they can't be in the cache. So... it seems to work.

Everyone going for domination seems to have used different units, I like that. Good games all.

People does seem to have played China quite aggressively. Very impressed with that spaceship win in there.

Also, as uberfish says, a nice variety in choices of strategy. Some very interesting reads smile

And gone after different civs for victory.

It seems that the AI China has actually been quite pathetic in most games. I've yet to come across one where it turned out to be an actual threat.

If you read Blake's report (I think it was his), he describes the sad state of affairs of Beijing which has virtually no tile improvements. I don't know know what that Mao AI was doing, but whatever it was, it wasn't doing it very well. Also, he has some interesting comments on AI city placement and why China never founded a city south of Beijing.

So far the game results that I've seen support my argument that focusing on early production and warfare as opposed to teching up and building wonders really does lead to faster wins - Qwack posted a nice fast victory, and I see TheRat won at about the same time, with the common thing between the games being that they started attacking as soon as the 1000 BC restriction was off.

I'm happy I seem to have found a unique path to victory with the Chinese UU regardless.

Qwack I have one question, why did you found on top of the ivory?

Wow, amazing. I was actually going to go into more detail about that in my report but completely forgot about it. Now that I think about it, I forgot one of the main things in my game early on.. I think its because I finished the game and then wrote the report like 2 weeks later..

Anyways, reason was because my initial tech path. I had no time to research mysticism in the early game(thus no obilesks and border expansions). My first border expansion's came with libraries. The ivory town would have been a good production town without an expansion, with 1 grassland hill, 1 plains ivory and a floodplains in its range. I put it on the ivory because I wanted the floodplains in its initial 9, although 1E would have been the best spot. Unrelated to this, but this also has to do with my second city which was placed to take control of the horse in the south. Instead of putting it on the best spot to take the wheat/horse, I missed the wheat to get the horse without a border expansion. This may have been paranoid but I was afraid if I didnt rush tokugawa soon, he would get spearman.
