First i have to apogolize the quality of my report. Original one and most of my screenshots were destroyed by a hard disk failure. So here i present my report with little less detail and pretty blurry screenshots.

I kind of feel myself as a shameless backstabber after reading Sullla's report

I added a tiny footnote to the very end of my report mentioning that while playing I didn't forget about the 1000BC rule - but due to the long time between playing the opening and actually reporting the opening, I had long since forgotten about the variant rule while writing the report...
I liked how it read (like I just got lucky to not break the rule ) so I didn't change my original report.

Crap, I can't post until about 9pm tonight, but look at all the good players that got the egypt start like I did! Lol, my gameplay will look shabby!

http://civ4info.com/Sullla/civ4_epic8_1.html That was very tight with FDR's pop. And very weird with the victory delay. I rolled Hatty too (my report will go up later) and I must say she was perfectly placed for variety of gameplay.

I'm just bad at this innocent thing, aren't I? 8)
Well... it was true at the time I wrote it...
As always in the Epics, no matter how well I play, someone always ends up being just a little bit faster. I am the eternal runner-up in these competitions. Congratulations are in order to Blake, there's just no way I could beat that sustained game-long focus on optimal whipping.

That was certainly a very impressive result, Blake. You did come in just below 40% of the overall population in the final vote, but after crushing two civs with War Chariot rushes, you'll understand if I think the term "true diplo" doesn't quite apply here.
The tone of the report did seem a little bit off, however. With so many sarcastic/disparaging remarks directed against the AI, the impression I got while reading it (and this could be inaccurate) was that you weren't having much fun while playing. I hope that wasn't the case, but it did feel that way while reading through your report.
Congratulations on another virtuoso performance using binary science and the whip. (But I don't care how optimal it is, you won't ever see me whipping out settlers and workers unless absolutely necessary. )

It is good to see you discussing the 'everyone loves me, everyone hates my opponent' UN strategy. I applied the same theory to my game in Adv 9 Stagnation where the obvious opponent was a little bit harder to see from the start of the game. I actually played that game with a variation if the 3rd place civ grew to become my opponent. I had 16.6% of the vote and got 3 of the other 5 civs to vote for me - the other 2 abstaining - and my opponent only got 1 vote - from herself. That is my 'true' diplomatic victory.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Your game looked eerily similar to mine in the early going, up until you attacked China. Two of your early city foundings were on the same tile as the one I chose, and you even flipped the Malinese city of Gao on the same spot I did, at almost the same date I did! Flipping not one but TWO Malinese cities allowed you to claim more of the south than I did while still locking down most of the north. You did at least as well I as I did on the landgrab, and probably a little bit better with those flips. Impressive!

A period of intense self-spanking? I hope that wasn't too painful! That was my favorite line of the report.
Thanks for an entertaining read.

Running over all the civs looked like fun. Caesar makes a good ally, doesn't he?
A word about your report though: Ug, you really need to crop those screenshots down to a smaller size, or write your report different to make it easier to read. With those huge screenshots, the reader has to scroll left and right constantly in order to follow the text, which is definitely awkward. I actually cut and pasted your text into a separate window in order to read it. You probably want to keep that in mind for future efforts.
Thanks for the report!

My report is here.
And now I can finally read all the other reports (Well, after I've done the grocery shopping as I don't think "but it's reporting day on Realms Beyond" will work as an excuse for why we've no food in the house - my husband doesn't play civ )
