It appears there is a significant bug to the 3.13 patch regarding colonies that neither myself or Sullla were aware of. Namely: If a civ has been wiped out then a new colony will assume the status of the wiped out civ (i.e. at war with the civ to wipe out the previous one). If you wipe out a civ, and create a new colony, it will not be at war with you but any vassals/previous colonies you have will be at war with you (and break free from you). If any AI creates a colony it and its vassal will become at war with you and your vassals (or whoever wiped out the extinct civ). Also any cities you own that belonged to the now extinct civ will yearn to join the motherland of the new colony. Basically this stops you having more than one colony without losing your previous ones, hence ruining the epic.
Suggestions are welcome. As far as I know, if none of the original civs get wiped out then the bug doesn't occur, so one option is just to advise people not to allow civs to be wiped out. Another is to allow people to play with Bhruic's patch as a one-off. A very complicated solution could be to allow people to play with the Bhruic patch if a civ gets wiped out. None of these are ideal, but your opinions are welcome.

Wow....I'd suggest postponing the game until the bug is fixed. Sullla made it clear that non-standard versions of the game are frowned upon, and this seems totally game-breaking if the player is unable to prevent a Civ from being knocked out.

Cursed rebel scum! 0.5 angry bonus points for every rebellious colonial city you recapture (max of 1 point per civ)!
Seriously though, is there a non-Bhruic solution on the horizon? If not, then the event will require his patch or will be broken. In that case, I'd just allow players to use the Bhruic patch if the situation arises for them. That preserves any time players have invested in the event thus far. (I haven't started it yet.)
If it will be postponed, I hope it happens soon so we can have another Epic before year's end.

I don't have too much time invested in the epic yet, so I hope to hear an answer quickly. I haven't hit the point of creating a colony yet.
We must either use the non-standard patch, or abort the current epic. Continuing with unpredictable war chaos doesn't make sense.
I agree that Sullla has the final call...
I hope there is another epic available if we have to abort / delay this one.

You know, if this happens I will be pissed (at myself). I forgot to disable Bhuric's patch and decided to abandon the game when I found out. I don't think I have any saves left either .

Ouch soooo, im happy I didn't start this and learned it afterwards, and I feel sorry for the people who have already started it. Gotta hate these types of annoying bugs.. I wonder why they even get unnoticed.
Ill decide whether to play after you guys make the announcements (Cancel or patch or whatever)

Thanks to another gaffe on the part of Firaxis, we're in a tough situation here. As sooooo stated, we essentially have three alternatives:
1) Apply Bhuric's patch
2) Postpone the game
3) Abort altogether
The first option is an impossibility, because the event has already opened. We cannot run a game in which some players are using a patch from the beginning, and others apply a patch halfway. (Had we known about this bug ahead of time, it would be a different story.)
That leaves options #2 and #3, neither of which will help current players very much. My personal sentiment is that we should hold off on the Colonization game for the moment, and revisit it (with everyone starting fresh on a new save and map) at a later date. Ideally, that will be after another patch from Firaxis. Since I'm starting to doubt we'll ever see another official patch from Firaxis, we may have to use some kind of mod at a later date.
I apologize to anyone who has invested time and effort into the current Epic Fifteen game. Neither sooooo nor myself anticipated that there would be a game-breaking bug in the latest official patch. I'll work on developing an emergency replacement game tonight, and try to have it ready for tomorrow, sticking to the same general map settings and difficulty level.

For a change, I had started this one early are am already in the 1500's (with no dead AI, so I had not seen anything wrong up to now).
No problem with any of the solution that are suggested...
