I would say that *someone* cheated me in this game, I tried to be nice to everybody, and actually had only the ants a bit mad at me , but I haven't been even given the chance to talk to the council...and they got the apes on the throne.

Nice come from behind win there. Hard luck on the Psilons voting against you, but I bet, looking back on it now, you wouldn't have it any other way. Nothing is quite as fun as a final war win somehow.

I remember my first one on impossible... No one in the universe had a bomb in their tree and no one had a missile better than Scatter Pack VII, which was pretty useless vs Planetary Shield XV, so we all kinda of sat around behind our bases for millenia. I could not get at Orion, so no death rays either. The design which finally won me the game was a Proton Torpedo ship. How often do you ever build torp ships much less conquer the new imperium with them?
