Battle.Net Account says it's Europe servers. Yet D3 states it's global so i'll see how/if i can swap servers once the game got online.

My guess is that the battle.net systems (ie who's online, your friends list, etc) are region-specific, but your battle.net d3 account is accessible to each region's servers. This is probably because WoW and SC2 are much more region dependent, for them you need totally different installs to access a different region (though that's supposed to change in SC2 HOTS).

My account is the same one it was for the beta.

As far as I can tell your 'home' region only affects a few things like the real money auction house. You can play in other regions just fine.
