I went to random.org so I could blame it if I later don't like what this number gets me.

Also, we could do a third method for resolving conflicts that puts more work on our wonderful mapmaker. Basically it's giving him the authority to resolve conflicts in choices so everybody gets the highest possible number (less likely to get lower number on your pick list, but it requires trusting him to be impartial which we're already doing with the map). I can give more details tonight

lol I don't want more work! Any suggestion that ends up with more work for me results in a morale barbarian axeman spawning next to your settler. wink

You'll soon begin to run up against Arrow's theorem trying to do this. Not saying we couldn't make a system to try to optimize "collective preference" but doing it with perfect fairness is literally impossible.

Since xenu isn't a fan then we probably should stick with the two method's already brought up.

I think we should add a rule if we go with the Boggle method: you can't have the same leader or civ twice in a row on your preference sheet. Meaning you can't just spam a leader or civ and have them be unavailable for everybody else. Need to throw some variability into it.

I was wondering that too. Their starting techs aren't too great in BtS, but that UU and UB.... oh boy

On a lakey map I could go either way. Xenu's choice I'd say.
