Stop teasing me Q! You can advise me where to plant a city- you're not up against me this round! (or maybe ever- I'll have to check the Roster)
Anyways, here's the end of my next turn:
I'm not sure what the Malakim are up to, but they haven't grown yet...
The Demographics indicate they are producing 3 food from the tile they're working, and haven't settled on a Plains Hill like I have (only 2 hammers). Other than that, I'm in the dark as to what they're doing- only that their capital is still size 1:
And, somehow, despite their having the Creative trait and my not working any Commerce yet, I'm 1 point ahead of them in GNP???
How is that even possible? Anyways, I'm wondering at this point- maybe I should have sent my 2 Scouts to IMMEDIATELY try and choke their growth? It's not like they can do anything to stop it- a Worker on open ground (building a Farm) could only be protected by a single fortified Warrior at best- and I have two 3/2 Scouts with +20% STR from the Combat I promo...
I've probably missed my opportunity by now, but maybe if I send my second Scout west towards Bob right away, I'll get lucky and catch one of his units off-guard...
Maybe.

Northstar

Other people might disagree, but I don't feel that's within my prerogative, so I won't be doing so.
You also have the creative trait, remember?
The extra point probably relates to tech prerequisites that they do/don't have.

No I don't! I'm Aggressive/Expansive.

For Animal Husbandry? The only tech I have is Agriculture- which is the normal prereq for that...

OK, well, my 2nd Scout is on its way west to see if I can't cause Bob any headaches...
I *REALLY* should have sent the 1st Scout west sooner, but can't change the past. Besides, I don't necessarily want to give away my plan too early...

Another turn, and...
My Scout spotted an Elephant!
It was right where the Pig is, I swear! You'll have to believe me on this one!
I saw it, but you didn't. I guess it's just the white elephant in the room...
That might be the beer talking again.
Anyways, this is GREAT news for the Svartalfar- because me tech path and civ strengths naturally favor Recon, and I start out with Combat I, it should be VERY easy to get some War Elephants! If Bob doesn't kill the Elephant just to deny me it first...

KITTY!
Quick, let's capture it! (or rather, let it attack us) Maybe it likes to snack on desert-men!
Or not... I guess it likes Elves more...
There goes that plan, I guess...

OK, so I'm going to continue exploring to the west, but am going to try and give that Tiger a WIDE berth:
Hopefully I don't make my 2nd Scout into cat-food as well...

No sign of that Tiger again yet, but there's still plenty of time... Maybe it will go tack down Bob's Scout, and make HIM cat-food as well...
Also, I spotted a Griffon (STR 4 Flying) moving through my line-of-sight to the north! :YIKES:
This is turning out to be a REALLY dangerous map...

EEK, there's that Tiger again!
But THIS TIME, the odds are *STRONGLY* in my favor- it's only got 1.4 STR with a +40% from two Combat promos...
Whereas my Scout has 2 STR on the defensive, +20% from Combat I, and +50% vs. animals... (for a net of 1.4 vs, 2 STR with a +30% modifier in my favor)
NOPE! Looks like the Random Number Generator wants to SCREW me again tonight!
NEW STRATEGY- feed Scouts to the Tiger until we create a SUPER TIGER, then capture it and feed it desert-dwellers for breakfast, lunch, and dinner...
Really, though, this is bad luck. As in earth-shakingly, I'm-probably-not-gonna-win-this-duel bad luck. Oh well, if Bob wins, I can blame it on the Random Number Generator!
I mean, seriously though- this kind of thing SHOULDN'T happen. Not THIS often, anyways...

Northstar
