I like EEES of site #2 for a second city. Two AH resources and can share the corn... by the time it's big enough to need more tiles, you'll be cottaging everything (so all forests are good).

Argh, may be irrelevant, he's considering switching to Hannah. I don't know any way to swap a leader after the game's already been started.
Should have waited, then I wouldn't have felt like I was losing anything by restarting.

Well, it's mirrored... you may lose an awesome starting position, but he's got an awesome starting position too.

Yeah, I know. Logically. Heck, maybe a reroll will give a bigger boost to starting with Agriculture. Emotionally, this was going to be a fun start, rocket-speed.
Might not be relevant, he might end up sticking with Falamar anyway. Even with three traits, I think Hannah is still inferior to Falamar, but he might not see it that way.

Just thought I'd check, do you still want more time to think? Tomorrow would be a good time for me to get us started, if you're ready.
Thanks for being patient!
Yeah, I'm going to want to use Hannah the Irin of the Lanun.
Regards,
Northstar
My poor elves, denied the chance to dance in shadow of the moonlit World Tree.
For this ignorant, world-destroying choice, we must slaughter the Lanun to the very last man
Will reroll to switch his leader, and start the game tonight or tomorrow.

Ok, so to psych myself up, gotta remind myself that an elf econ is better relatively the worse the terrain, and tiles that are good unimproved are really hard to choke. And a rocket start means he can make warriors relatively cheap/fast to challenge my scout(s)

Don't expect a lot of action. North hasn't sent me a turn in four days, and it's not the first time he has gone over half a week without playing.

Well, nothing to be done about that but get us started. Currently averaging 0 turns/week, after all. I just hope I don't become the straw that breaks his back and prevents anyone from getting saves.

Huh, you didn't have to e-mail Northstar on my behalf, at least half this delay is my fault. Maybe on Bob's behalf...
Ok, restarting...
Much less lush. Which is a good thing. Really honestly. Well, ok, it's better for winning and worse for fun
Slightly concerned about the Sepulcher, but...I ought to be able to keep him away from mine, with my Agg Recon, and he ought to be able to keep me away from his because of the 3-turn popping period. So the only unfairness possible is when one of us pops our own for a Wraith or a Great Prophet. I don't want that randomness, so I won't pop mine for a long while, and I think I can beat him even if he gets a GPro T4, so...I'm going to carry on.
I think...I think I want to settle on the Ivory. Not a hill, but still a 2h plant, gets us a heck of a lot of nice farmable tiles and some forests for later cottaging. With our general strategy, non-hill shouldn't be a problem because we want to do all our fighting on the offense.
Of course, before I commit, I plan to send out the scouts and have the settler step 1S onto the hill. Warrior will head NW through the forest and scout SE, I think. That'll get us more info without sacrificing a turn - unless we see something so awesome that we give up the Ivory plant idea. Any objections to that, HK? If not, I'll execute in ~3 hrs and post the map with more info.
Really not sure what I'd do with this as the Lanun. There's no good way to found on the coast with current knowledge; maybe founding 2E of the Ivory, if he's willing to give up the sure thing in the wheat for fog + coves. Or maybe just accepting a landlocked cap and going for Ivory or plains hill
