I'll certainly regret this later, but put me as a signup--I'd still prefer to dedlurk someone (and I need some sort of dedlurkers of my own, though I doubt there will be any shortage of those), but this game is interesting, even just playing ~30 turns of one test game

I don't have time to play games anymore without a Noble or some other microbot equivalent so I wouldn't be much of anything other than a makeweight to get trampled once the true contenders arise. In fairness, I suppose that's not that different than my typical game. Kappa If it stagnates on six for a while, I'll think about it but better just to imagine me as an unwanted dedlurker to someone. 4Head

I'm not taking the twitch emote bribe though, Brick, because you already promised those to me and you've since reneged so I cannae trust anything you say anymore. BibleThump

I did think of an issue that does require player input: the amount of time to play per turn. I think 24h is definitely doable, since there's only 7 players and it won't start with as many cities as late era of regul;ar games, but the argument could be made for longer turns to start at least because you'll be making a lot of big decisions in the first 5-10 turns, more so than an ancient era start for sure. What do you guys think?

Moderately - I think once the starting decisions have been made then there won't be huge amounts to think about. Civic choices and settle spots are the biggest. We won't get any more tech/cities probably for a while anyway.

Perhaps could I be bold and ask for an expanded starting view then we could make a few of these before kick off

Well my experience of late-era games (EitB46) makes me think I won't put much thought into it anyway, but IMO it doesn't hurt to put extra time on the clock incase we might need it.
