Don't be overly suprised if i don't play this weekend ... the public lawn across the street is the site of a large eurodance festival on Saturday (and a full concert from one of the bigger danish rock bands of the time tomorrow, Friday)... and from experience over the last few years their woofer goes right through the building making it impossible to think, and the music can be distinctly recognized up to ~1km away (and i live practically next door).

bands and acts such as Gigi D'agostino, Scooter, Haddaway and Me&My ... don't usually mind that kind of music, but still, the noise pollution makes it practically impossible to think

Wow, that sounds miserable for the neighbors, but thanks for the heads-up. I hope you have a good time at the festival if you choose to go!

hmmm... well ... there's only 2-3 days a year where the lawn is used to its full extent as a outdoor concert venue and another couple of handfulls of days where there are other stuff going on such as town festival, flea market, Saint John's bonfire ... That said, its only this eurodance festival that's blatantly overusing woofers, although with them having turned the stage around, it might be a bit easier for the neighbors this time around, as for the the previous years the stage was at the other end of the lawn, tugged up against the city hall, now its faced away from the residential buildings towards the city hall and to a certain extend the other public buildings (library, theatre, couple of cold war bunkers now used as archives, assorted smaller municipality offices) and the mall.

The 'pains' of living in the local hub of the suburb, with the biggest public lawn in the area across the intersection, and a sizable mall (by European standards) next door and surprisingly strong infrastructure other wise ... could be much, much worse, and i can always retreat to my parents place a couple of miles away tongue
