On the F3 screen, if you turn the pages backwards, you can see all your current spells, including combat, and can even see future spells (encrypted). There is no need to enter combat.

Alright, I understand and agree then. How about using the same game setup for all 3 games then, for better comparison? We should choose the setup so it doesn't favour either strategy over the other.
I really don't think our strategies differ all that much, though. You conceded that you'll typically build 1-3 cities early on, I might build 3-5. We both go for early military and conquest. So maybe the comparison will more be about builds than strategies. Which is fine by me.
How about picking the game 2 settings for all 3 games?

Actually, I'd prefer Huge over Large. I'm getting many games with 3-6 neutral cities when I pick Large.

Actually I think changing settings will be good. For instance, my strategy doesn't care one bit about neutral cities - they're the same as AI cities - unless I can get an extra barbarian city super early. I adore max power due to monster/treasure generation, but seeing how it works on other settings (since obviously power generation matters) would be good. Since I don't care about cities, I prefer poor minerals, etc.
I think the original plan with 3 different setups is fine.

Alright, we'll go with the 3 different setups outlined above. My strategy and build will be different from the one above, and neither one of us will reveal the setup until our first game is concluded. I have to warn you that I will might be slow in finishing these. I'm getting married on August 26, then going on a trip to Bali August 29th. If I'm able to play quickly and not waste too much time on reports, I might be able to finish all 3 games before then.

I'm not too worried about time. Hell, to me just the first 3 reports are going to be super interesting. I'm only doing one game at a time though.

Alright, game on! I jumped the gun and uploaded the 3 games, and I've played the first 12 turns. I assume you know how to change to your chosen build in the uploaded save?

I don't actually. Is that the tool Seravy made?

Yes. I believe you create a new game with your build (same game settings), then use wizcopy to transfer the settings from that game to the real game. I don't recall where the instructions are, though. Also, I'm not sure if it can handle race changes. Maybe use Serena's tool for that? I'd greatly appreciate it if you could figure those things out, then I'll focus on getting my game underway

Yes, it's wizcopy.exe.
Peeked into the source file, it's way more user friendly then expected, it actually asks you for the filenames and if you want to copy the race or not.
Should be easy to use.
