Turn 069

Only 1 News-item but a very good one:

It means I can use the money to buy a worker next turn and start improving my land.

And it frees the few Units I have from the northern border to go and kill some Barbs.

Rome enters medieval age:

Turn 80 saw an interesting offer from Russia:

I accepted as the 4 Icon_Culture are 25% of my civ-wide Icon_Culture

Hope everybody had a nice start into the new year.

Turn  087 starts with news about Russia:

Since Rome has been stopped TBS will be the most likely winner of this game.

Domestic news: This turn there happened a double harvest. First up north at the Roman border:

Walls completed and encampment started. I don't have any intention to go to war with Rome (In fact I'm the only one at peace with him) but better save than sorry.

In the capital: switched to worker and harvested the stone into one more Worker:

The Empire and rankings at turn 090 (turn 23 since the takeover)

As comparison: The rankings from turn 67 and 90:

The difference between the score-leaders and myself remained the same. My Empire lacks population and with that science and culture.

The goals for the next turns: Settle 1-2 cities get more districts (which means more pop first) going and more Units.

Turn 100 report

Overview from end of turn:

The military situation is my greatest concern. Gorgo my NW-neighbor is leading in strength. But I have finished machinery last turn and therefor I can upgrade at least 1 Archer to Crossbow if the need arises.

I also asked Rome for a continuation of our friendship. He is still at war with Russia so I hope he has no interest to come south.

The science-ranking (which misses leading Russia as the screenshot didn't take) is looking nice considering that I can now build Madrassas (+5 Icon_Science) - well 1 Madrassa as I have currently only 1 Campus.

My place on civics- and tech-tree:

Yes Mamluks are already researchable smile
