[SPOILERS] Giraflorens and Naufragar [UNCONFINED]

Immortals are actually pretty awesome, that "can get defensive bonus" thing is very nice.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.

Take your time playing the first turn, there is no rush. Timer for the first turn will be extended and don't feel bad taking extra time for good planning. Log in to grab a screenshot and post here with your thoughts on where to settle (on the starting tile? or move?). You can move the scout right away, or post the screenshot first if you want to discuss which way to scout.

And congratulations on getting your desired leader and civ thumbsup

Hunter:
1. go hill NW. More interesting, I see some forest on the North.
2. go hill SE
I usually go to a hill to reveal more area. On the NE of the map I see some tundra tiles.

Settler:
In a game against the IA I'd go to the W for the city.  But in this game with humans I think it is more important the defensive bonus of the hill

Build:
With 25 peace turns there is no rush for a Warrior.
Go for a worker and when Fish, migh be go for Boat.

Research:
1. Mine. Bronze. Fish
2. Mine. Fish. Bronze. While Worker is doing Farm+2 mines, Bronze can be researched.

If you click on the image when you're looking at your imgur pictures, imgur will give you a pop up with a few links. One of them is the "Direct Link." I copy this link and put the link in between: [ screenshot ][ /screenshot] (without the spaces. If I leave the spaces in, the screenshot tags are invisible.)

If you like, there's a button you can click when you're replying to put the "screenshot" tags in automatically. On the bar above where you type the reply, third from the right, there's a button "Insert..." Click this, then click the drop down menu. Click "Screenshot" and the forums will automatically add [ screenshot][ /screenshot] so you can paste your image link in the middle.

I've attached your image below. If you click on the "Reply" button under this and then click on the button that is all the way to the right above the text field ("View Source"), you can see the tags I've used to display the image.

I upload screenshots using the RB forum "Add Attachment" feature. Screenshot file size must be less than 500 KB but I rarely run into issues with Civ4 screenshots (although I play on minimum graphics settings on an ancient laptop so that may help reduce screenshot size). After uploading the image, click the button to insert the image into the reply.

Regarding the game...
- The northern hill will take 2 turns to reach. Also there are frost-covered trees peeking out of the forest to the north, and tundra in the fog to the northeast. Taking all that into account I'd recommend scouting to the hill SE first (then posting another screenshot before making the decision where to settler).
- You have a lot of forest to chop! But not may hills for long-term production.
- Settle in place will give you a plains hill for an extra hammer-per-turn. That extra hammer greatly speeds up the early game. The only other option that might work is plains hill to the southeast, if your scout finds anything interesting there (2nd or 3rd city could then be settled north of the clams lake and you could delay fishing and a workboat until later). But only if the scout finds something interesting.

This map looks like a Gruyere Cheese with so many small lakes. Nothing interesting into the south, but at least there are another hill W of Hunter, so setting at actual place  seems the best option.

Unrevailing the Gruyere Cheese Map.  I never saw so many small lakes.
Now I will send the Hunter to the North.

I doubt about next tech to research:  Fish or Bronze?  If fish, I can make boats while Bronzing, if Bronze I can start choping around as mad.

How many turns to research Bronze vs. Fishing?

And what do you want your worker to do while researching?
