I had the same issue with the game crashing whenever I would mouse over or try to select "Dragon Ship" in the unit build list. Thanks to your info, I was able to grab the ui302.png file from the base Warlords install folder and copy it over. However, that actually didn't resolve the issue for me when I loaded a save and tested it. After doing a folder comparison to look for more differences between the Lite and base Warlords installs, it appears that there are some more files that are missing:

This pattern of missing files continues all the way up to u302x8_2.png. It appears that only the _3 variants of each u302x picture are installed in the Units folder, which I'm guessing are displayed fine on some configs on MoM, but not on mine. I checked the files in the newer WarlordLite1.0.6b.zip download, and while the ui302.png file is now there, the \Units folder variants are still missing, which may cause problems.
The bug doesn't appear in the base Warlords install, and only happens with the Lite version, based on my testing. Copying over the remaining missing u302x... units files resolved the bug completely for me.

So far, from my debug result, you could not attack with all those 6 heroes, you buff them to over the top with maximum power of all spells plus impossible duplicate items on slot that could not fit......you just break game's stack strength calculation scheme made by Seravy (number over his byte limit). You could bring hero to attack node or city individually (except Dominus, his number conquer the game on its own, crush unless you remove his staff from him). But if you bring all of them into any battle at the same time game would crash immediately.
If you want to fix this, please ask Seravy to fix his hardcode limit, I could not do this for you.

10 choices? 12 choices? What are you talking about?
You know when you start a game after picking your books and abilities. You get to choose spells that you start off with and the rest are guaranteed to be able to research. I modified the game to give me 12 picks instead of the usual 2. I changed it to 10 spell picks and it stopped crashing after defeating nodes. Sorry, wrong bug. The one you're talking about is when I cast Chaos Channels with Land Link then that screwed up the heroes.

Ah, I see. I get crush right before combat but not after combat end and get node reward. So I don't get about what you are talking about earlier.

Lite has Tactician with additional benefits if the unit is on rough terrain in combat ... but I don't see any effects on the units. Is something missing from a script file?

You need Forester to get bonus from forest combat tile, mountaineer for bonus from rocky combat tile, and waterwalking for swamp and snowy combat tile. Emphasis on combat tile, not overland tile.

I tried Tactician/Elves, with the (forester) swordsmen on a treed square in combat: no change in the numbers. Is it working properly for other people? I have 1.04.7. What file is the code for Tactician in? I certainly like the concept; just not sure why it's not working for me.
