Peace confirmed. HRE troops mosey back home. If they'd lingered here I'd assume they were going to plant a city of there own here, so there will be room for one of ours.. though I expect HRE will be steaming mad when they see us replant right in their face
Ugly will double whip a settler next turn, then as it regrows, it has two new mines to work and start producing units to reinforce this area.
The Good finishes its work in 4 turns, switches back to a growth build, and hits size 8 in time for a layer of whip unhappy to die down. It's working plenty of cottages, think it's time for a library?

Red dot: It was a tough choice, but yeah, I think it's worth giving up the first ring pig to get the gold in the second ring. The river bend gives a similar defence bonus as the hill too. I'd be fine with either choice really, but the gold edges it for me. Get the Ikhanda chopped quickly though!
Peace sounds great. A library in the capital sounds good too. We need to start thinking about great people and it's looking like we won't have any wonders to help with that. Could run scientists for a golden age at least. Sounds like we'd be near some good civics and have a fair amount of pop by the time it pops out.
Yeah, and I'd love to see CH's thread when he sees us replant!

finished T85, was too tired to finish 86 & gotta head out early in the morning. but on my to-do list is a plan for reinforcing the new city 1N of Old Sabata. there's an axe and 2 impis in the area now, by the time the 10-turn peace treaty ends I would like to have at least 4 Axes and 1 Impi in the city to keep it secure from his revenge stack. should be simple enough just gotta plot out the logistics of where to build 'em, taking the road travel time into consideration.

Got a chop into Ugly to get an axe out ASAP, accidentally got a chop into Bad that I was supposed to cancel (ARGH) but it gets me another axe, so I'll have at least 4 before there before the truce ends.
Ugly going into a settler next to expand west, towards Unholy Rome.
Fistful of $ growing on an Impi, settler next
Few $ More needs to cap its growth starting next turn, thinking another worker instead of a settler.
Red dot settled

I left a whole bunch of signs when I logged in. Pretty much anything with a question mark at the end of it.
I set the capital on a library when prompted. Might want to just grow to 8 on it and triple whip it in. Don't turn on tech again until it's finished anyway. I think we definitely want to be working 2 scientists there afterwards to get a move on a golden age.
The economy certainly crashed more than I expected. I spent a while trying to think of good options to fix it, but there's not much to do till we hit Currency. Just try to emphasise commerce tiles over hammer ones when you get that choice. I think we have too many hammers at the minute and I'm not sure what to do with them. New cities seem to be costing 6-7gpt, at least the gold city should pay for itself. Whosit's Charismatic trait seems to be catching him up quite a bit right now.
Oh, I also put EP back on HRE since we have Romes graphs. We'll have their research in a bit.

It has been binary. It's just been taking forever.

Actually, I may have been doing the binary wrong, which is probably what's up. I've been switching 0%-100% every other turn but now I realize I have to wait until I have 60 gold in the bank to cover 1 turn of 100% research. A fool and his money...
Thank you for the signs TBS, I've followed all the instructions there. I think I will use the excess hammers to reinforce our border cities. As HRE seems to have all shock axes it means we need a few more units of our own to compensate.
Here's a scoutshot of the HRE city North of Cera Una Volta:
Hill plant, connected to road network, Granary & Monument.

Hinduism spread to Duck You Sucker the same turn the Ikhanda chop finished. Nifty.
Ugly finished a settler but it will just hang out there until our finances improve. I change the Settler build in Fistful of $ to a Chariot.
I expect the next few turns to be very quiet, just building up some defensive units and worker microing.
The Bad is down to only 18T of whip unhappy and growing too fast, I think I need to whip it down on a worker.
