Hey suboptimal,
I see that you posted in your thread, are you still thinking over your turn or did you forget to pass the save? No worries either way, just checking.

The PYDT client showed that I posted the save when I played it. That's actually the second time it's shown it's uploaded a save and failed to do so.

There may be a client issue - I tried uploading via the client and it returned an error. I subsequently went on to the website and it shows that it's your turn and that the save was just uploaded. ???

Weird, but now that you say that, there was a time last week where I uploaded the save, closed out the client, then check an hour later and it still said it was my turn. Just figured I forgot to send it.

I did post in the PYDT forums but so far nothing. I can take the turn tonight but tomorrow I am busy (sort of figured I would have a replacement). Then school starts up again. Not sure what you guys want to do at that point. I can probably run turns for the first week but not thereafter.

Unfortunately it appears that our hand has been forced. With no substitute available I think this is indeed game over.

I think we have 3 options:

1. Put the game on hold and pray someone steps up;
   
2. Call it game over and start a new game with the willing;
   
3. Turn Scotland over to the AI.
   

I think the best option is 2. Not really interested in 3 and don't think a replacement will be found if they haven't stepped up already. Rather cut the losses and try to get another game going, maybe even a GS game.

Speaking as someone who is going to mostly be watching the next game passively, a GS version might be neat to see.

I think Option 2 is the most reasonable.  The AI isn't capable enough to take over and the longer this game sits the more interest will wane.  I'd be up for a PBEM 15, though since I have vacation coming up the first week of May I'd prefer to wait until after then to start up a game.  We'd also get to see what's coming out of the patch that's probably dropping Tuesday...supposedly the change list was 8 pages long.

I started a thread for Gathering Storm game to see if there is any interest. I have no issue with waiting until the middle/end of May to start.
