Looks like TBS might be thinking the same thing:
i sent Gav a bunch of Fish+Horse demands. I wonder what he'll make of that.
So now do I invade Gav or do I invade TBS?
And I did something I should have done 30 turns ago:

Without the extra hammers it would have looked incomplete anyway.

Too true, totally not worth building until I had that AP in place

4 more turns. I'm going to cut out of OR as soon as I see that doesn't make a difference.
Might also just whip the thing too, with how unhealthy the capital is

I had another iron for iron trade from OH, so I decided I wouldn't try to vulture Gavagai. Instead I'm moving my main stack up towards the TBS northern border. Probably could do with a few more swords.
OH has a chariot on top of my stack so he can see what I'm doing. Let's see if this happens.

Old Harry declared on TBS on his turn. I didn't declare, but I moved everything to the border and I will invade next turn:
Having city sight is nice; i know all those knights just stream east as soon as they are built, so nothing is nearby.

Fighting against someone you have city visibility on almost feels like cheating.

It really is.
I invaded and moved in, but I don't believe I'm going to push too far into TBS-land. Actually, i considered not attacking at all. Gavagai has emptied the lands near me. He is defending with warriors and archers right now. I need to invade Gavagai now. But I feel like this is the opportunity to knock TBS down and that needs to happen. I might bomb cities, ask for peace. Cornflakes gave peace with Gav, so he has 10 turns of peace there. This is a good window.
Ugh, do I just change gears on TBS and piss off OH? Possibly even have OH not make any ground against TBS?
Well, let's see what next turn brings. I might just bombard the city, ask for peace, and then rush everything towards Gav. But I'm going to swap to Theocracy next turn, build up more units, and use those to invade Gav.

Yeah so TBS asked for straight peace and I just decided "what the hell" and accepted. I'm going to send everything after Gavagai and see if I can mop up a bunch of cities for less investment. But am I leaving OH out to dry? I'm certainly not making a friend.
Moral of the story is don't play your turns when depression is setting in. Maybe I would have done this anyway. Either case, today rather sucks.
