Three words look obvious, Ray, Row, and Nail.
After that, perhaps Missile (flies straight), or Fighter (same, but slightly less direct connection).

Pre-Spoiler:
A ROW is usually considered straight. A STRING can be used to measure if something is straight. There's straight as a NAIL. A RAY is actually a wave, but most people would consider it to be straight. Post-Spoiler: I don't think there's much to MISSILE or FIGHTER here, but WAKE is a weak connection. We all seem to agree on ROW and NAIL, and I think RAY is correct as well. I'd like to make the case for STRING, as that's an ancient way of measuring if something is straight. Point to NAIL Point to ROW Point to RAY
While STRING can be used to measure, it is often the opposite of straight when you encounter it in daily life: tangled and messy, curled up in a ball or tied up in knots. And that goes for a STRING of lights or a STRING of tall tales, too.
So I would prefer MISSILE next. You might not describe it as straight (though it makes sense in context), but you can say (as Bob did) that it "flies straight".
Great, I'm with Azoth and would prefer MISSILE next for the reasons he provided.
