RBP4 [SPOILERS] - Shaka of Zulu (sunrise089, regoarrarr, and friends)

Well with all the drama over replacement players and such, we managed to get T35 in the books and roll us over to T36.

As usual, the WarlordDr spoiler thread service is back in business

Warlord's thread Wrote:Well, I guess I won't queue up my units again - after all the commotion and hysteria over me not playing my turn, I definitely don't want to go through THAT again. But really guys - there's no need to HAVE to log in each turn this early on - I needed no build changes to my ONE city, and my units had their moves queued.

But about that ONE city, well I have a surprise for you - I founded my 2nd city, Sparta, at the end of Turn 35. I tried to found it right at the end of the turn so that anyone trying to do Cloak and Dagger information will be fooled (and think it's just a regular population increase). I predict that only the most intrepid and successful number crunchers will be able to follow that!!!! lol.

I am mildly concerned with everyone getting a 2nd city out - we're kind of far behind on that count - Reading won't be founded till T42, 6 more turns from now. As it stands now, Lord Parkin, SleepingMoogle and us are the only ones with just one city.

Luddite's 2nd city grew to size 2 today, and the other score increases were ioan / mackoti and Lord Parkin each getting techs. They both researched techs back on T28, which I assigned as Mysticism for both of them. I'm going to give them both Mining in this case, which makes sense because we had a pretty good increase in global soldier count (up 8000)

Soldiers didn't prove to be that difficult - we had 2 cities founded last turn (1K each) and 4K from 2 Minings - so that just leaves 2k left which is likely a warrior by someone.

Or.... I'm completely and totally making things up lol

In domestic news, here's what we got

* Scout (in circle): NE next turn and check if there's a pass through the mountains. It doesn't look like there is (the tile 2E of the scout appears to be another peak tile) - in which case go to the N, towards the sign that says "Scout towards here" and then explore the southern coast. Hopefully (I think?) another peak blocking formation.

* Dave (square): Our 3XP warrior - he's heading on the indicated path to fortify in Reading (and NOT, under any circumstances, to go wandering in the wilderness lol)

* Chuck (triangle): The idea is to also head towards Reading but on a more indirect path, to hopefully uncover more. Maybe SE, SE, E, NE, NE? Depends on what we find

* Settler is due in 1, and follows the indicated path, founding on T42 at the double corn / gold site.

Not that I'm aware of, and again while I do offer my services as a WarlordDr reporting thread surrogate, I am NOT, in fact, ACTUALLY WarlordDr lol (nor do I play him on TV)

I think the whole thing was pretty overblown. Again, I don't know the whole situation as I have not talked to him ever, but it seems like there are some decent reasons why you might not need / want to play a turn.

While it's unfortunate that Warlord hasn't really taken this opportunity to embrace our RB community, it doesn't feel like we're really rolling out the red carpet, so to speak.....

... and then there were 2.

SleepingMoogle founded his 2nd city this turn (T36), leaving just us and Lord Parkin. I think it's actually fairly likely that we'll beat Lord Parkin, as we know that he has spent the last few turns builiding Stonehenge.

It was completed on T35, so even figuring a 6 turn settler, he won't found till T43 or 44. We found Reading on T42.

Real quick - T37 played.

Settler built and heading down to Reading. Warriors and scout moved as outlined, and work started on another warrior to garrison.

Sailing (and warrior) due in 2, at which point we'll build a Lighthouse. Still need to figure out the exact timing of working prod (for building the LH) vs. commerce (for teching Masonry).

Luddite's capital now at size 4, meaning he's the only one working 6 tiles at this point.

Nonono, this is where you embrace the opportunity to spam your post count by crafting in character updates for WarlordDr. Based solely on your C&D gleamings augmented by your mind reading skills.

T38 played - everyone moved along.

3 population increases, all to size 5. Gaspar /nakor and SleepingMoogle both had their capitals grow to size 4, and plako had his 2nd city grow to size 2.

There was 3K in global soldier count, so I am tracking that as a barracks by an unknown player.

Sailing and warrior due in 1.

Now while all the rolleye goes on over in the email thread, we continue to plod along.

Turn rolled over to T39 this morning, and only one score increase. The lovely Zulus getting 6 points for having researched Sailing.

And, coincidentally, moving out of last place!!!

Okay only by a point but still!

I'll have more of an update when one of us logs in to play the turns
