Sure I'll update:
I'm not to worried about Serdoa since I have all those units in that city now, but he did build a road on the corner to the city. If he has a cat and elephant stack he could drop it next to the city and be mean. The other cities are less accessible. My newest one in the West is a bit exposed to Serdoa and Commodore, but I've got 7 units in range and I already have walls there. I'm working on getting construction for cats and elephants.
I'm nervous about commodore stealing the tile and getting a culture push up there. Thoth's city is a bit away from his core and is ripe for me to take once I have cats and elephants. I do have OB with both Thoth and commodore though. I don't really want to war with Thoth, but he's the softest target with least risk.
Yeah, yeah, novice killed my city on the border there. I'm fine with it though. That means I can leave this side veyr lightly defended. There's a natural border between pindi and me and novice and me. That means its unlikely that they will attack me and I can focus troops toward the Serdoa, comm and thoth, fronts.
We will be building elephants so best get those stables up. Most of the infrastructure is done for now. Libraries and courthouses everywhere. And surprisingly walls too. Nice to have those cheap.
Power is climbing.
This clearly looks like crap, but we aren't actually doing too badly given our less than focused start. In terms of cities we are about even with novice and Krill behind thoth. Comm, serdoa and pindi are all behind the four of us. I think tensions are higher between the guys ahead of me and if it leads to war I might be in better shape than this looks. I need monarchy in order to get wines for happy. Happy cap is really killing me. But I need construction before that or I might die. Need cats on the Serdoa front.
All in all though, doing pretty well.
