Lair pops:

Could have been worse. I put him onto the Deer hill to heal, then maybe take a look at that Goblin Fort.

3rd ring cities are starting to finish Manors, and Settlers are starting to pop for 4th ring.

Oh, and some new civics are in order for the end of the GA:

Expect the whip to start cracking next turn... mischief

Ugh, sorry.

Quickly:

Quote:So my reading of the explore lair results is that it can only ever spawn a single Spider unless it's a "BidBad" result, but then wouldn't it give a "Champion has risen to defend" message instead of the generic Spider one? Two other possibilities are: 1) there was already a Spider spawned from this Lair, hence lack of Lizard guard unit, 2) some of this is rename shenanigans from Auror who has captured HN units in the area. High likelihood to be a combination of the above.
Are you sure? I'm pretty sure the "there are spiders nearby" can spawn a number randomly generated (between 1 and 3 or 5??).

...

Ventessel does look to be in a pretty bad position, which we suspected but still sucks. Jalepeno might hope to play us off against Auroracher a bit banking on the sick Amurite late-game to put him back in position.

Yeah, I can look at geopolitics if you want. Probably good for me to see save in general, given how inconsistent my attention is.

Micro/wider planning decisions all seem good from my perspective.

What's our army like/positioned? Any movement in foreign power?

I forget, did you work out what the Calabim spoiler was?

I thought the Spider one just said "there is a Spider nearby", but I could be wrong.

Army is on the to-DP list. TBH losing those two Moroi means I'm running far too light - even struggling to find units to support new Settlements. Bagpuss is going to churn Moroi for a while and I'm going to put. Second Training yard in Magic Roundabout (Auror border) once the Manor is finished. Other new cities will pop some Warriors after Manors completed.

I did get the spoiler, but we need to skip KotE for another half-dozen turns at least until Priesthood has been bulbed. I'm generally thinking research will go down the Trade route for now.

I'll send the save next turn.

So Auror finally used his Griffon to snipe a Worker:

He declared nationality, but I'm tired of this BS and I killed it:

So yeah, I might be a bit late building that army. alright

I offered Peace, but I don't expect him to take it since the attack is probably already on the way. Builds shifted to troops, and I'm pulling in extraneous units from other fronts.

Save from after EoT heading your way ... I don't like the looks of this. scared

Specific question: do you think it's worth diverting tech to HBR to enable Mobility to shift warm bodies to the fronts faster? Not that my new units will have promos available of course since we just revolted out of Apprenticeship. duh

This makes it a no from me. By the time you get it, the ones with available will already be at the front.

Yeah, this is what I was afraid of:

I console myself that he wasn't quite ready enough to take both cities out on the same turn, but not very much since losing Noggin really hurts. frown

I don't think this assault is going to get very far, but I'll not underestimate:

Note the reminder for me to move my Workers next turn...

And because the loss of Noggin took my nearly-Priest with it, I'm going to go ahead and grab KotE now for Loyalty and Haste.

Consolidate, limit losses, make ... him ... pay! hammer

Also, kudos to Jalepeno for joining the fight; we stand or fall together!
