Sorry, been travelling all day and it took a while to set up the hotel wifi. I can play the turn soon, I just need to wait for the game to finish installing on my laptop. If someone is avaible, they should go ahead and unpause the game to preempt any "stuck in diplo screen" delays.

Ok the game has now crashed three times in a row when I try to log in, is there anything wrong with using steam to play pitboss or something?

It shouldn't be Steam, that's how I play. More likely is that there is some kind of port that is disallowed by the hotel's firewall. This is just my very amateur guess, though, and I can't give you any options to correct the issue.
