Stack comparison vs. TBS:

   

   

We both have about 10 cats and 30 other units. Other than the top 5 longbow defenders, most of TBS's stack doesn't get defensive bonuses. I think that I have enough to handle his stack either on offense or defense, but it will be very close. I bombarded this turn and offered peace for the return of the 3 cities mentioned above. Given safety on other fronts I believe I have enough to grind TBS down and remain competitive. But not now with hostile scooter. I am losing gold at 0% without Great Lighthouse (I was bumping 0 income already). And I'm working 70 hours a week now trying to get to an upcoming vacation, which I want to use to the fullest without spending an hour a day on war turns. Therefore I turtle from here and make scooter pay.

I wonder how far my army will teleport with the signing of a peace treat? Hopefully it doesn't hop to the island where I'll only have 1 galley to ferry 40 units across

TBS re-offered the peace, which I accepted. I offered peace to Scooter as well he could capture my island National Epic + Great Library city (which would also birth a GPerson at end of turn). Therefore I give scooter an out for peace in the short term.

Any lurkers unspoiled enough to sub during a period of peace while I’m on vacation next week October 12-19? No pressure, and no long turns required. Surely as the top military power we should be safe from war declaration

Hello, sorry I didn't say anything in PB49, but it is difficult for me to follow your fast rithm of playing.

Anyways, I can help you those days in PB53, if you leave me detailed intructions.  I haven't read anything from PB53.

That would be wonderful. I will post some general guidelines in the next couple days, and more detailed instructions as we get closer.

My RL workload has been steadily increasing, and I have been on a huge push the last 2 weeks to get loose ends tied up before going on vacation. So once scooter stabbed me in the back I stopped all planning. Goal is to limp through the next month or so, get through the hectic catch-up on work that piles up while I'm on vacation, and then re-evaluate and figure out where to go from there. Income is approximately -5 gpt at 0% so you won't need to make any tech decisions. Army is largest and most advanced in the world so you should be safe from military threats. I'll queue builds for you. The general instructions will be:

1. Log in ... pasword is "qq" (lowercase "QQ")
   
2. Decline all trades request. Post the request here so I know about it, but don't re-offer unless I confirm. If for some reason we are offered a pure 1-sided gift to us, accept the gift.
   
3. Make sure all cities have a build queued. If for some reason nothing is queued, just build a catapult. Can't have too many of those
   
4. Check the scoreboard and event log to make sure nobody declared war on us ... really wish there was a pop-up. In both of my previous PB (43 and 49) there was a time in the game where I played half of a turn before realizing that I was at war. Now I try to remember to check at the start of every turn just to make sure. If somebody declares war on us, pause the game, post a screenshot to this thread, and post in the tech thread that you are waiting for input.
   
5. Make sure the treasury balance is enough to keep us out of strike ... we're growing rapidly onto Colossus coast so we should be back to positive income by the time you take over. But if needed, swap a city to building wealth.
   
6. Make some coffee, grab a snack, let the clock tick down 3-5 minutes, then hit enter.

I do not appreciate scooter holding the turn, making it difficult for me to get my last-turn-before-vacation screenshots and plans for giraflorens to sub scooter declared war 2-3 turns ago when our peace treaty expired. He has a peace treaty with Commodore that expires in 5 turns. I will not give peace to a non-friendly neighbor when it suite their best interests.

According to PBSpy, Scooter razed Rotterdam (Great Lighthouse + MoM). I have no path to victory and am ready to concede to Commodore (or TBS ).
