What's the overall picture of the land as you know it?
Agree about Gold city.
Heh not too far off on the Amica front.
I'll post the overall picture next turn.

Oh man successful diplo! I was hoping my message would get across about it. I feel fine about not attacking SD until knights. We set that border expand and tech.
Good to have you back Gaspar.

There are a lot of Commodores on this map, not counting the actual Commodore.

I saw SD double moved us so I logged in to see if he settled in such a way that would require a reload. He did not, it appears that he's headed for the spot SE of the cow. Archery is in and I set tech to Writing saving gold but that can obviously be changed, particularly as we have 0 overflow coming from Archery.
Since Noble had asked...
All times in year BC.
Religion
Hinduism - 2160
Buddhism - 1920
Judaism - 1520 - Commodore
Circumnavigation
Commodore - 1560
Wonders
None
Also, here's a batch of city names...
Muckspout: Someone who is overly talkative and curses a lot.
Bobolyne: A fool.
Cox-comb: A vain, narcissistic person.
Dalcop: A very stupid person.
Driggle-Draggle: A messy or untidy woman.
Fustilugs: A large, clumsy slob.
Mumblecrust: A toothless beggar.
Rakefire: A guest who has outstayed their welcome.
Scobberlotcher: A lazy person who never works hard.
Skamelar: A scrounge, or parasite.
Snoutband: Someone who constantly interrupts a conversation to correct or contradict the speaker.
Stampcrab: A clumsy person.
Trencherman: Someone who overeats and attends social events just for the food.
Wandought: A weak, ineffectual man.
I'd probably skip the hyphens when we found them, just looks better without. Curious, since I use them when I should be using em dashes constantly in writing, but I don't like the look of them in city names.

As long as we get Scobberlotcher in there sometime, I'm happy.

Gaspar's back and balance is restored. Also SD backed off our gold so I don't lose my mind. In fact, I'm feeling quite hopeful now that we've almost finished securing our borders. Let me take you through it:
So this is our new city of Poltroon (an utter coward). SD has a new monument in his horse city which is going to be an issue, but We will have 2 axes a spear and I hope an archer by the time peace is up. Noble tried to talk me into settling the hill, but SD isn't expanding his military right now and seems to have archers more than axes. We'll tech masonry and get stone and build a wall here before SD mounts any serious attack.
Gnash is getting a chop to finish a monument next turn and Fop is 5t slow building a monument. both have axes in queue to finish as well. You can see the WB heading to net seafood for the soon to be horse city. The worker west of gnash just finished the mine and will start roading toward Poltroon with the other worker after it finishes its chop. We will mine the gold and chop the forest to get the monument done asap. Probably we will farm one of the FPs though eventually cottage it.
North:
The cap has whipped the horse settler and the overflow will let us finish a 1t spear! That spear will head north to the coper stone site to defend the settler and eventual city. We'll also try to get walls and an archer there soon enough. Probably Cumberworld will regrow on archers. Ragga is regrowing fast and we will 2 pop whip the galley there with max overflow into something else I think. Either that or build a worker at 4 and 2 pop whip that with overflow into the galley. It's going to depend on the timing of the second settler out of Gillie. Gillie will finish the slow build settler in 4t with a chop and the culture expanse onto fish. working the fish gives us 1 extra hpt for 3t which gives us exactly 100h inot the settler. It was a perfect build. The it grows on a spear that is a 1t build and starts an archer before it hits size 4 and starts another settler that we will 2 pop whip. The city will grow back quickly with fish and cow.
Demos:
I mean it could be worse. We've fallen off the pace a bit, but now I think we'll be able to really get expanding.
Tech path: Masonry>writing

Another turn. Weekends are fast. This is t66.
We got lucky! We got buddhism in Poltroon! Now we don't' need the monument and we don't have to rush to chop and send two workers over there. Instead we'll send the 1 straight to the gold to mine and then cottage the 2 FP. On the way it can put a turn into a road on that grassland there. This frees up the other worker to get a second riverside grasshill mine and then cottage.
The horse city is ready, the worker has a half road into the horse and will start pasture direct before finishing it.
Cap gets the spear as I said, Ragga growing to 4 for the 2 pop galley whip.
Gillie has a barb archer issue. So the axe is on the copper. The archer can't kill the axe on a hill right? RIGHT?
Power graph:
We're king of the people we know!
Demos:
Someone has 11k power more than US! and someone else also has more than us. basically the 2 top powers are between gav, at, and civac. We can get graphs oon civac at some point, but the other two we haven't met. But seriously we're up like 10k on both amica and SD meaning that someone is up 20k on both of them. If its Civiac who borders amica and also has 8 cities! then amica might be in trouble. Maybe you shouldn't have settled towards the guys who weren't aggressively settling all the land?
Amica is a nice guy, I like him and I talked to him in the game about life for a bit today, but in terms of the game itself?

T67:
Scobberlotcher (a harmless idle person, so it's a useful insult for anybody who is unlikely to bother looking it up after you fling it at them) is founded by horse.
We have 4 cities about to grow EOT which is nice. Fop and gnash and cumber are all doing fine. Getting some units for back up.
The barb archer up north went 1S instead of attacking our axe. I guess we will need to attack the archer when it moves onto our cottage. I moved the spear from ragga up 2N so that it can reach Gillie in the event of catastrophe. This does leave Ragga open and SD's warrior can see it, but we have at least 1t of enforced peace left and we can move the spear back if the axe wins. If it doesn't we'll have to figure something else out. Goddamn barbarians.
Everything else looks pretty good. Ragga will grow into unhappy without the spear there, but we can just whip the galley like we were planning. Then galley looks for good land to the east and we ship a settler over there asap.
Demos:
We are catching up to top in food, but someone's pushing MFG real hard.
Also can I just say, civac at 9 cities is wild at this stage. I imagine his econ is crashing a bit, but also... who is on his borders? Is there no one checking him?
