I have no idea what Thoth is doing, but he's ordered a full retreat:
He left a single Longbow behind in RecklessUpstarts, and I decided it was better to attack with speed rather than slowly bombard down defenses. So I sacrificed a C2 knight at a 13% attack and lost without doing any damage, but then the next knight won at low odds, so I got lucky in the end. I suppose retreating on that front can make sense if Commodore has destroyed his army.
However retreating in the east and abandoning his defensive positions at Gold Pass is just baffling. For now I'm keeping my main defenses in Euwe but I've moved a couple Longbows ahead to take the fortifications along the road.
You can see my boats in the lower right but those are empty threats: I just have a pair of Samurai that really can't do much more than harass.
In any case, it's looking like 3rd place is locked up. Not sure about 2nd, Commodore's economy is at least twice mine. (And Krill's is about 4x that of Commodore.)
