RBP4 [SPOILERS] - Shaka of Zulu (sunrise089, regoarrarr, and friends)

This link is a closely related game to what I was thinking of
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contact_(word_game)

One difference is that in my version is the other players attempt to guess the clue instead of the word master.
However the word master can deny a word by saying the correct word before the other players.

Oh and one thigs I think the Wiki forgot was that the word master can not say the word he has selected.

Now lets return to your regularly scheduled program. (regoarrarr)

Would you kill the scout before or after the "cooperative map info?"

Hello,

I haven't read all of your thread but I have a few questions:

1) Are you regretting your choice of civ/leader? Would you now have preferred to be Louis? Or French? (heh, I know ...)

2) Why are you calling your 2nd city Reading?

EDIT: Asked to remove no.3 by game admin

Number 3 is not approrpriate to be posted in sunrise's spoiler thread.

You should remove it.

1) Yes. I am at least. I'd have preferred to be Louis yes

2) Virtual cookie to the first person who guesses the city naming scheme!

3) I do not know him. Sunrise has at least talked to him on teamspeak. I don't know if they've ever played MP together or have any further relationship than that

We salute the representative of the new tribe which we found on the map ( or he find us ... don't matter ) - but for the moment I couldn't connect to game to take several screen shoots.

Keep in touch and best regards,

Quote:Yeah it took me a bit of searching but eventually I figured it out!!

So, a bit of logistical information - sunrise and I are both on Eastern US time (GMT -5 I think). <chat info redacted> He can be tricky to get a hold of though.

Game is still up even though it's paused, so hopefully you'll be able to get in some time and see where it is where we met. We may have to rollback a turn or so but that shouldn't be too painful, here in this early game.

Again, we're interested in map information or other ways that we can work together. I find that oftentimes it turns out in games like this that the first civ that you meet becomes one of your closest game allies. In fact, that's how sunrise and I first met in PB1!! Turned out to be pretty much a game long partnership and has obviously carried over into other games. Though maybe that's because I'm afraid of going up against him in battle! :-)

To start the sharing, I can tell you that to your west and north is a dead end. There are no connections that way and we have not met anyone else. I'm sure you've already noticed the interesting peak "bridge" tiles - there are a few of those to your west but no outlets for a unit. That's why we're sending our units east to explore (in addition to Dave you may eventually see Charlie who is a few tiles behind him.

We'd definitely be interested to see what kind of things you've noticed, and if you wanted to enter into some sort of "exploration agreement" where we can each explore different parts of the map in the hopes of getting a leg up on the other teams as far as map shape and placement of other civs and such.

Anyway hope to hear from you soon!

I really want to turn them around without exploring our lands

If they don't, are you still considering a more coercive approach?

Considering it certainly. I don't know if I've got the guts to actually DO it though
