Would you have preferred I left that last sentence off, then? I could have made exactly the same post, with exactly the same points, but with just that little bit less thinking about possible consequences, and that would have been somehow better?

You are quite right but sometimes the leopard tries to change his spots.

Bigger Wrote:Rowain, just once I'd like to get through a WW game without us tearing each other up. Except for your night kill in ww12, we've gotten each other lynched in every ww game we've played togethor - and 2/3 of those we were both innocent! I've decided I just can't read you properly, I think its time you realize you can't read me properly either.

Its not about reding you Bigger. Its the contains of your posts that I'm voting for you. First your: 'I hopp on the BW started by zak' followed by your: 'Hey Gaspar I might join you on an Injera-BW if one starts'
Both without any reasoning why you find those 2 worth a BW.
In short those 2 points say scum to me no matter who posts them. Happened to be you hence my vote for you.

The same goes for Jkaen(my nr 2 suspect) for his attack on Merovech and additional more suspect for his childish 'You vote for me I vote for you' reaction against Meiz.

You always seem to think I am guilty though rowain.

I note however you dont mention what was wrong with my attack on Merovech at all, just nicely name check me

Jkaen Wrote:... for putting on the last vote to try and get Tansuke to role claim

That reasoning is what I didn't like. Other have read it as joke-vote so maybe nothing at all.

But your following infight with Meiz is IMO far overboard for only having 2 votes on you (at the time I moved from you since then).

Only a second here but Molach - the purpose was simply to get your attention. I do that with a vote a lot.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

What's up with all the people not voting? EH?

I'm going to bed soon. Midnight here. Won't be up for lynch. In the end the important stuff is going to happen after I go to sleep. rolleye

Why Bigger? I still prefer thestick.
If you know what I mean.

Just to be clear, no, I did not expect nor want Tasunke to roleclaim so early-I merely wanted him to stop being silly and start contributing, which he did. I'm keeping my vote on thestick for now and will vote Meiz for mayor.
Merovech's Mapmaking Guidelines:
0. Player Requests: The player's requests take precedence, even if they contradict the following guidelines.

1. Balance: The map must be balanced, both in regards to land quality and availability and in regards to special civilization features. A map may be wonderfully unique and surprising, but, if it is unbalanced, the game will suffer and the player's enjoyment will not be as high as it could be.

2. Identity and Enjoyment: The map should be interesting to play at all levels, from city placement and management to the border-created interactions between civilizations, and should include varied terrain. Flavor should enhance the inherent pleasure resulting from the underlying tile arrangements. The map should not be exceedingly lush, but it is better to err on the lush side than on the poor side when placing terrain.

3. Feel (Avoiding Gimmicks): The map should not be overwhelmed or dominated by the mapmaker's flavor. Embellishment of the map through the use of special improvements, barbarian units, and abnormal terrain can enhance the identity and enjoyment of the map, but should take a backseat to the more normal aspects of the map. The game should usually not revolve around the flavor, but merely be accented by it.

4. Realism: Where possible, the terrain of the map should be realistic. Jungles on desert tiles, or even next to desert tiles, should therefore have a very specific reason for existing. Rivers should run downhill or across level ground into bodies of water. Irrigated terrain should have a higher grassland to plains ratio than dry terrain. Mountain chains should cast rain shadows. Islands, mountains, and peninsulas should follow logical plate tectonics.

Still internetless. Hoping to have that remedied shortly, and I'll be reading/posting during lulls at work. For the moment though... reduced game presence.

I actually feel like mass claims is a good idea in this game. If the wolfs try fake claims of roles, we can get a picture of how credible their claims are as more game info is revealed. It also means forcing wolves into having to come up with creative roles quickly, which can be hard and could easily be messed up. On the other hand they could all claim Vanillager which could be spotted by the demographics of the village. Either way it gives us lots of tools and chances to spot wolves, and the info revealled will only become more valuable as the game goes on. History suggests we won't get the unanimity of opinion to enact a mass claim, but I bet it's objectively a good move.

My gut read so far has a mild scum feel on Gaspar. Mainly cos I felt his situation read on Injera/Catwalk was a little too labored.

The people voting Tasunke should probably try.learning from experience. Tasunke has IIRC, been either lynched early due to crazy behaviour or let live and become a trusted villager because he is easy to read. First lynching him seems like a bad idea. Go for somebody more inscrutable.
