Well I was momentarily cheered by this. My interpretation of the timing is that Amicalola offered peace for war with Ginger, Naaph accepted, so now there's a fake war that will be resolved in a moment. Mildly reduces both Ami and Ginger's income with shared peace bonus, otherwise no biggie. That Amicalola did this means he gets the danger at least.
I have no confidence that this means Nogger Frogger Bo-bogger Banana-fana Fo-Fogger Me-mi-mo-Mogger actually understands himself the danger that Ginger represents. Grim prediction: He just uses these ten turns to rebuild army and make galleons to attack Amicalola once again. And so they're going to be going at it hammer-and-tongs once more when one billion cannons roll out of Greece in a vast orgy of conquest.

Would you have paid 325g for a military instructor in that city? Seems very expensive.

For some odd reason I had read that as a Military Academy; clearly not worth it just for an instructor. Nogenfrouser isn't turning off his military machine; he's hitting a couple of Gav's exposed new cities. I'm fine with this only if he continues to conquer the whole mess and thus makes himself border Ginger. Amicalola landed the MoM. Not bad, although his economy is the least-GA-boosted economy in the game. Miiiight be able to make something happen but I don't think so with his inexplicable complete lack of cottages. Don't they know this is the map to skip Agriculture on?

Sigh, waiting for a reload. Judging by the civstats, it's a pretty clear case of double moving to found cities.
Also interesting Ginger is apparently no longer turnplayer for Greece?

I feel like all this current pause could be resolved more quickly and with less controversy and debate if we could just get Amicalola and Nowgrefrager to SIM WHAT HAPPENS WHEN CANNONS HIT MEDEIVAL-TECH ARMIES.

I mean until cannon tech advanced and they were manufactured in larger numbers they weren't utterly decisive in battle for a long time and even then doctrine had to become effective. Tech impacted siege warfare more for impact on medieval.
Agree, but I'm talking about in the game. Civilization 4. Someone give both parties a worldbuilder sim where one side has two dozen cannons atop 40 knights and the rest has EVERY OTHER MILITARY UNIT IN THE PITBOSS 64 GAME.
