We'll whip it this turn. But yeah, maybe it's unrealistic to read that act as friendly... Should we be worried?

I say we settle on the copper with the settler completing in RH this turn. We don't have worker support for anything else right now anyway, really. Then we settle the G spot ( wink ) next.

Should we pick up Archery? Hm, maybe archery explains part of Mackoti's power surge.

I actually meant to cover that worker with a WC but I don't think it matters. We have a nice pig location north of our capital.

I think we can delay the monastery in Robin Hood, all our cities are getting their own cultural buildings anyway. We just need a missionary when we're settling the E spot for instant border pops there. This also means I think we should not revolt to Buddhism, and we should go for an Academy before a shrine. (We can make GP #2 a mixed odds Scientist/Priest.)

So I would just grow RH to its happy cap on the monastery, and then whip a worker there.

Our workers around LL could start improving the rice next turn but I don't really think it's worth the risk. They can help out with preparing Cupid for its border pop instead. I think we should whip LL for an axe or a spear when it regrows to size 2, so the cows will be its most important resource for some time.

Your thinking of your second dotmap I assume (so 1N of the copper?). I like that plan.

I'd say don't research archery. Axes/spears/WCs are preferable to archers I'd say.

1S of those pigs looks like a delicious cottage spam city. I might even say settle that before G, although both look good. That or maybe setup to go for both (one settler out of capital and another out of RH? Double whip both setting up for a 1t worker after from each?)

Well I tried out that spot in the sandbox and it's just horrendously slow. There's no point in settling 1N of copper now, if that's our spot then we should send the current settler to the pigs or to the G spot. But I think that would be premature. I would rather settle on the copper, to immediately offload the corn from RH. That gives us copper NOW instead of 6 turns from now. Settling on the copper does not invalidate the G spot.

As for what to do about the silks... Worry about that later, let's hook up the other happies instead.

Yeah, looking at it 1N of copper makes really no sense. Has to be on the copper, or not at all (or as a really late backfill city).

Definitely on the copper.

What's the matter with people, can't they just be settled up on and accept it?

He's going to hurt our economy at least. He has a monster MFG so maybe it's not that high an opportunity cost for him.

Anyway, do you have time to look at the save and give your recommendations? Here's an updated sandbox:
