About ray, can you check a heart with x-rays? I'd think as a soft tissue you won't see much and would use a sonar but this is only an uneducated guess.

GG Grillo! I thought the Charon clue was really nice, considering the situation.

Quick post-mortem: Shape had the risk of FIGURE, but I was hoping you guys would guess the three actual shapes first, which worked out.

Straight -> STRING was intended to mean string lines, which you can buy at the hardware store here. Not sure if that translates overseas though, in retrospect. Azoth made a very fair point that string is often the opposite of straight, and I knew that clue was risky going in. I was counting on Tarkeel persuading you guys with the +1.

I was losing my mind about the 'lottery' -> STATE thing. I was referring to how military drafts used to be done out of a lottery (I think?). I had no idea that state lotteries were a thing at all in America, let alone prominent. Lottery was the only way to get LUCK and DRAFT I could think of that didn't also suggest STATE. Oops. Glad I was able to redeem myself from last time, at least.
