I appreciate the lurkers sincerely trying to resolve this, but I don't know of any Pitboss surviving a break this long, even without any acrimonious issue. Pauses are death to games, and the intransigence of Ami and Now, rather than meaning they think they can win, instead means they've both given up emotionally.
I was really enjoying this game.

That's why I always play with a personal mod of RevDCM, which adds bombards to the late medieval/early renaissance era to bridge the gap in siege tech between trebs and cannons.
RevDCM also nicely bridges the naval tech gaps with new units. It always made little sense to me that wooden frigates upgraded directly to modern destroyers.

You and me both, Abe ol' buddy.
I don't understand the diplomatic shenanigans this game. I just don't get it. I'm going to just mass cavarels for now and go get Privateers next.
Cottagesplosion proceeding as planned. I'll be Colossus-weaned in time for Astro for what little it's worth if all my neighbor keep war-peacing for NAPs against the Greeks.

Don't worry guys, Ginger is rolling out mass cannons but I have C1 on triremes now.
Naufrager could shred the Gingerian coast, but I don't know if he's sincere in his offer to ally.

I have never in all my time in Civ4 multiplayer been less confident in a dogpile, despite the signals being sent. My "partners" here are Mr. Tunnel Vision and Superdeath, who never in his life met a prisoner's dilemma he didn't want to defect from immediately.
So as not to tip off Ginger I'm still in OB, so Nowfreger needs to evade scouts. Superdeath is just massing knights but he's about to get almost 40 on his Police-State-enabling Pyramids city.

Things are tense. Ginger will be attacking Superdeath next turn, which is the only way to ensure his membership in this dogpile.
We need Naufraggor, he's the Moblilty portion of the alliance. Superdeath is a completely worthless ally in terms of morale and will leap at the chance to back out of this. Ginger, meanwhile, is blessedly not using his sea techs yet.
I'm going to harry the Gingeronian coast, at least at first. Have the navy for it.

Last turn before the declaration. Let's see how chicken Superdeath feels here about his Pyramids dying. He's the weak point in the alliance.
Water is the way to go. Nowfrooger has a piddly three galleons in striking range, but a nice 5-ship fleet north of the isthmus. Ginger can be killed, although that mighty army can annihilate so so much beforehand.
Cannons and 40 knights can conquer any individual empire on the planet. I can see how good Amicalola is doing, but Ginger is able to take out either all of SD/Gav, or me and probably even Now if he goes the other way.
Power is deceptive. This is going to be insanely painful to try and stop but the game is over unless all three of us can actually kill off the cannon stack of doom.

HE DID IT. THAT CRAZY BASTARD SUPERDEATH DID IT.
The global power ratings just tumbled by almost a quarter. Ginger, in the end, just didn't have enough cannons whipped. And now he's vulnerable and if nobody chickens out we can eat him in the NEXT DOZEN TURNS.
I'm not going to slow my roll, for sure and certain. Check out the garrison in Dune, the single most productive military city on the planet.
I'm going to see how hard Naufrauger and SD push. If they do this hardcore, then a SD invasion begins this turn and Nowg can capture a city or two as well. If so, I'm going hard and capturing Dune, otherwise I'll waddle up to just raze it. Nine cannons are in the Greek territories right now, his only really problem is a lack of follow-up hitters.
I'm also able to drop that galley force south to fork three cities at once with my Celtic G3 muskets/longbows; if Ginger isn't prepared to push damn hard we can crack him because, again, he does not have slavery.
Trying to keep aware of dangerous vectors. My beautiful pristine Backline Continent is going to need hamlets whipped off-of, to turn away this naval force assuming he lands at me. Muskets inbound, it'll be okay.
Poor poor Ginger.

Ginger must have been pretty torn up, he waited a long time to finish this turn.
He shouldn't have violated the sacred fish-for-fish...
