T167 - Pillaging???

T170 -

Well it seems I didn't give Ljubljana enough credit:

Not that I think they are going to get much farther once Ginger starts pushing Cuirs back at them, but at least they didn't completely abandon me.

Not that it will make much difference:

I thought I might take a punt at Clownfish with my Knights, but after the first lost flawlessly to his Pike I decided not to proceed. I stacked most of the Muskets in Plaice and pulled the Cats & Knights back behind.

Power graph shows that greenline still isn't taking this particularly seriously:

He has collected a few knights in the border city, but it'll be interesting to see whether he takes anything from me before Ginger rolls on through.

T171 - Last Hurrah!

Anglerfish dealt some damage before it fell:

Pity someone pillaged all the decent tiles here, it'll take a long time to get back to useful. rolleye

In the South, Ginger declined to hit me but rolled his stack up to the doors of Plaice. I guess now is the time to send in the Cats:

Losing 2 GGs while gaining a 3rd. hammer Most of those were 50/50 shots, but probably the best I could get from my stack; we'll see if he sends everything in or takes a turn to heal.

greenline has "hidden" his stack. Not much I can do against it this time, but it'll be interesting to see what they try to claim ... and what Ginger lets them keep! shhh

Looks like I missed this image from the previous report:

I didn't report last turn that it had advanced across borders 2SW of Sheepshead...

T173 - A nice thought, but...

Turn opened to this:

Lungfish fell to Ginger this turn and then it seems that Ljubljana took it from their weakened forces. It's a nice thought of him to offer it back, but there's no way I can defend it. And they know that as there's been a Scout watching around what remains of my territory.

You can also see in the bottom right of the shot that Plaice also fell this turn. I had evacuated most of my Knights down to Anchovy, so they are healing but who knows if they'll get a chance to do anything useful.

greenline's forces must not have liked the odds crossing the river into the Muskets I had scraped down from Anchovy and have turned back, so there's another success from this war:

Pity he doesn't have any Cats left to soften me up with. mischief  I doubt he'll make any gains from this war now unless Ginger lets him.

Meanwhile you can see that Haddock may fall next turn, though there are no Cuirs in that stack just Janns, Cats & a Mace (hence the Mace whip over a Pike). He may well decide to bombard a few turns while bringing up the Cuirs though. Herring could also fall if he wants to push his Cuirs at it; I think that's my last Worker chopping there; the rest have been deleted run away into the woods to form a resistance movement.

I also probably won't see the end of this war; I'm around through Friday, but after that I'll be on the road and kindly ask for Lurker support (scooter?) to stack up whip anger and continue to look for opportunities to use my remaining Knights wisely.  hammer

T175 - signing off

Final overview:

Last turn I had hit their stack with a Cat and took out a few Janns with my healthy Knights, so this turn he's linked up with the Cuirs. Not sure if he'll take the turn to move up and wait for the Cats or go straight in. There are 6 Knights remaining split between Anchovy & Minnow - the missing road prevented me getting them straight from Haddock to Anchovy in a single move. I also shifted a second Musket over to Minnow, but I think that gets pulled out with the Knights and the city all-but abandoned - maybe pull some trash over from Anchovy or Sheepshead to prevent a cheap amphibious capture. I've asked Superdeath for one of his spare Iron as back-up. Will have enough $$ next turn to upgrade either the highlighted Bowman in Haddock or similar in Anchovy or Sheepshead. No idea where greenline has sent his forces; maybe he's sent them North to hit at Ljubljana?

greenline offered another stack to be cut down to size:

Important note: I have the second half of the turn and play after Ginger and greenline. They have both been pretty reliable about playing promptly.

Oh, because of the turnsplit I’ve toggled on Auto-promote a couple of times - including now; it’s given some dodgy results, but the healing has proven important.

I’ve racked up nearly 100t of whip anger in Haddock and Sheepshead, so that will be a nice burden for whomever takes those cities.

Logged in to Ginger offering a peace treaty; Declined it as I had to look around before accepting. Looks like it's best to reoffer and focus on fighting Greenline.

I guess Ginger took Haddock; did he also burn Minnow? Did greenline stop bungling his attacks, or is there an actual threat this time?

I don’t see much incentive to taking a white peace from Ginger - I expect he gets more out of it than I do - but if you think that’s best I won’t complain.

Thanks for taking the reins to keep the rest of the game moving!
