for some reason, Lewynn declared on me. I didn't really even notice. It was stupid - he had an unescorted settler and 3 workers on the next island over, so I took his settler and landed my settler.
He's lost a settler and is going to lose 2 or 3 workers for no good reason. He doesn't seem set up to actually attack me.

Lewynn did not, in fact, lose a couple of workers. He had a HA on a galley and so killed my archer and settler, which is fine.
This is odd - I was sure I had been going first, but I looked back at PBSpy and he's been going first for some time.

Turns out, I had pbspy set up to see some earlier turns and I have, as I thought, been going first.
I offered ceasefire to Lewynn, which means A) we can play whenever and B) he can attack whenever. Seems like a win-win for everyone, honestly. He didn't take it, but he did offer it back, which I then took

I am still not quite sure how I screwed this up as badly as I did. I think not being aggressive in placements was important, but also not managing whip overflow, I think. I don't think it helped that so many of my sites needed seafood and border pops. I almost certainly should have been more aggressive with getting that site to the east with the wheat that civac got. Almost certainly I should have clearcut my cap for settlers, too.
