Well, earlyish HBR because otherwise I might get Viking'd, and I'll need to cover a wiiiide empire here. Sailing because obviously. Masonry because walls and maaaaaybe Hanging Gardens. And Math->Currency because those are the two biggest techs.

Just as an aside, I fail to see how its an issue to just play your turn. In the time Azza took to post his two post requesting a pause, I could have played, like, three turns.

I am playing in PB13, which is a 17-player game on a very big map and probably will take some time (like several months) to finish. I don't want to play it any longer and thought maybe someone else is more interested and would therefore be better for the game. He's Stonehenge'd, Mansa, and America. Unless he's also right next door to the Vikings, I would so swap other there in a heartbeat.

Victories three? Hardly unexpected. But it is remarkable how Mardoc's lot have managed to avoid a single broken nail in all the fighting. Witchcraft! (Also, more no food)


The two real cities are all about the settlement of moar foodless land. Earth Gate just received one chop; in two more turns it will gain another and the settler for the east will be done, to be joined on the way by a whipped archer from Chulak.


Abydos, meanwhile, is even simpler; build axe and grow to size four at the same time, get a chop into a settler, and then whip the sucker for Dakara to the southeast...we need horses badly.
