[SPOILERS] Team Orgynized: Parkin/Arki/Magno embark on a kinky adventure

Moved the Scout 1N (continuation of turn 16). Let's hope for the best with the Lion. We're on a forest, so at least shouldn't die.

Next turn we'll probably need to heal - or if we're undamaged we could move 2NW or 1NW-1NE or 1NW-1N.

Demographics changed slightly between the beginning of the turn and now - rival average MFG up from 1 to 2, rival worst GNP down from 17 to 16. Someone switched from commerce to hammers I guess?

For the record, now that we've met M&M in the game, we can see in the Top 5 cities screen that their capital is called "Shady Quarters".

I vote 1N-1NE if the scout lives.
Surprise! Turns out I'm a girl!

My preference is to heal to 100% before moving on this early in the game, so let's see the combat result. NW-N might actually be more optimal, depending on tile bleed. If the next move is NW onto a flat tile, it should see the hill 2N of the "Lion T13" tile. Leaving that singular plains fogged is tempting fate but Hermione's borders will expand on T50. (I wouldn't fight NW-NW though... we'll probably have a W1 promotion and thus it's a much better defensive tile than a hill.)

Also, buried within the reports of this site are many lessons on the dangers of out-of-channel diplo. rolf A perceptive player can read useful or even game winning information into the most harmless seeming comments. Also, I suspect some emotions are going to flare up... It's amazing how personal and invested it's possible to get into these games. The drama is why I'm here in the first place!

Presume you meant 1NW-1NE, since that other path would take 2 turns to move across a hill. smile

Definitely best to heal if we have an odd number of turns to get back to full health. We'll have a promotion available on T18 if the Lion attacks (since barbarians move at the start of the turn we won't get it on T17), which will help with the healing. If we have an even number of turns to get back to full health then we could wait until after the promotion to heal (saves a turn).

No it won't, since that hill will be 3 tiles away.

Seems a shame to leave the tile unrevealed. Moving 2NW then perhaps 1NW-1SW would put us on that forested hill and nicely reveal that plains tile. Just have to watch out for the other Lion that was in the area earlier.

Exactly, which is why it's best to avoid chatting at all if you're unsure about anything or haven't discussed it with the team yet. It's harder if you're already friends with someone and/or have a channel of communication open through another game. You just have to be careful, and if the conversation starts getting derailed ("...so about the Double Fun game..." or "...hey, regarding your Orgynized team...") when you're not ready for it, you just have to politely decline ("sorry, I can't discuss that right now" or "I'll have to talk to my teammates first" or "can you please send that via email and we'll get back to you, thanks"... or even just "brb" or "afk" or silence). Even the best players can find themselves causing diplomatic havoc for their team with an unplanned chat - just talk to Sullla. lol

What I wrote was ambiguous but I meant the subsequent move after moving NW-N:

I think 1NW of 1 sees X, and that route may be most efficient to cover the interesting tiles in the fewest turns, other than that lone plains. Plus the hill would see tiles to the east that NW-NW would not.

But yeah, this may be begging fate to put copper on that tile.

Ah right, got you. I think it's probably safest to stick to forests whenever possible from now on, since we'll have the Woodsman I promotion and a far better chance of surviving surprise encounters with animals (especially bears and the lion we know is still around). As such I'd be much more inclined towards 1NW-1NE than 1NW-1N next. Overall I think I prefer 2NW though... turn 25 is approaching fast after all, and we really need to uncover the land northeast of our capital as soon as possible.

Turn 17

Demographics

The Cannibal Ponies finished their second tech this turn. Looks like they had a 2000 soldier increase, so they probably got Animal Husbandry given that their first tech was Hunting. The other possibility is Mining, but I think that's less likely.

Exploration

Rotten luck, unfortunately... the Lion destroyed our Hugh G. Rection with only 21.3% odds. (Ouch, painful way to go. Perhaps he bit off more than he could chew?)

Well, I guess that makes our simming a bit easier, since we have no way of getting further information about the map before T25. We also won't be revealing Copper prior to then, so we have all the info we're going to get before deciding when to build our Settler and where to send him.

Other Nations

Margarine's Scout moved to the north of our capital. They'll probably move to the spot 2NE to get vision on our city in a couple of turns, but there's nothing we can do about that. Oh well.

Looks like they retired and immediately reclaimed their civ just recently as well... I guess to change the password. Perhaps slaze is no longer going to be involved in the team? Dunno.
