This spot gets us +1 and has two food. The benefits of X is earlier hookup for ivory (since most cities are bumping against happy limit) and safer location (river between tiles X and Y), Y gets 1st ring sheep and better tiles to work in the long run. There is a possibility of pushing further later on and planting for fish, but given that East of Gravity Aura is DTG's capital that's not a very important goal IMO as our border are going to be super long already.

I'd probably settle Y, but if happiness is a pressing issue and hooking the ivory can't wait, X can work. Doesn't look like there's a risk of losing either sheep or crabs to someone else.

Oh, and I don't think I said, but let's still plan to hit LT/Wetbandit. Bandit may be a stronger player, but he has still inherited the civ LT left. The caveat is that the longer we wait, the more he'll be able to improve his position.

DTG has highest net gold/turn, CY, MFG, city count. And he hasn't even gotten up his ORG courthouses yet. Close the damned borders, people!

T98: DTG hooked up Iron. We started hiring Scientists specs in Hangzhou.
T99: Wetbandit/LT revolted to HR and is probably going for Feudalism

I just realised something major: no one else has hooked up Marble yet (though HAKhan will get it soon), which makes going for MoM attractive. Don't mind if HAK gets it or Wet/LT (IND bonus = marble bonus) but will be concerned if DTG or Alhazard do.

We still have time to reconsider further: still saving gold this turn and will turn on science next turn for 3T Metal Casting (or calendar if we change our minds). Also, do you want any shots next turn besides the usual T100 cities + demos?

Calendar and MoM might be the better option. Wonder is nice, but extra happy could be equally as valuable so our cities can grow larger.
