Archduke and Emperor K team thread

Well they both picked teams that do very well in the beginning of the game. So while they are great players able to keep an edge I agree that we need more land. 4 turns until wonder is done, those jungle did not give the production I had hoped for. Then Ill get a settler or two. I can not settle the far tundra cities until I have more trade route, they just won't grow very fast and the west looks to be mostly tundra so far, so while good cities down the line they need a steady supply of food.

I am scouting west with my warrior in hopes of finding more suitable city location. All 3 teams should be just as starved for land as we are, but I can make use of a bit more land then them. I also need a ton of builders, enough so that heading for feudalism after Theology is probably my best bet. Lets see how there score improves over the next 30 turns or so.

DoF with Singaboy rejected. (Bad we could use peace on that side)

Hope you did not mind me not asking. I am not seeing us being able to attack through those landbridges and why should we? We are slow burners.

Horseman, Archer to the NE. I am still in builder mode, but I may need to leave it.

Ship to the South. Chopping another settler out of the capital for a defensive city.

Roman galley.

Finishing 4 commercial hubs over the next 7 turns.

Still a bit miffed about this game, to be honest, but hanging in there. alright

Finished wonder, and started on some builders. Also Grabed suzerian of valenta. Looks like it will be a while before they get them and extra production is welcome.

I only have 1 good city spot left until I get several trade routes, so I plan to get a settler out then focus on making my cites as developed as I can. Maybe some good land will show up in the west.

Valetta is a great idea. Use faith to get some buildings done quicker.

I am seriously worried about China and Rome atm. I think their rejection of a DoF is to make us feel unsafe, but there is a 2nd horseman and an archer.

I doubt I can hold onto the straits in time to settle them and there is a small chance Singaboy will come for us if we look weak.

Seoul encountered.

Looking at the numbers, to be honest, Emperor K, I am not sure if we can pull off an upset win against Sullla/Singaboy if at all.

The other teams do not seem like they are still competing to be honest.

Good job on the Apadana, we need all the great work slots we can get and I doubt we could have landed Colloseum. It seems you finished the civic for it just this turn. (I got the boost without a water mill)

Well i took some screens, but there is really not much to show. Bought walls for 80Icon_Faith in biggamehunter, and will have enough to purchase another set in pancakes next turn. Currently building an encampment, 3 builders and a shrine in shellfishbram, which will naturally turn to my religion in 12 turns or so. I am just going to wait and not spend a missonary charge and use the two remaining charges on a couple of your cities.

As far as gold is concerned I have no pressing need for it. If you would like any of it let me know. I plan to get theology and build temples in an attempt to get as much faith as I can to purchase some builders before I loose valentta. It is weird though as I have not met Seol, but I did meet nan model. Not sure I want to invest two (which would be 3) envoys in either if there is a chance they will be destroyed soon. I think I will save my envoy's to keep Vallentta around as long as I can.

Other than that we are safe on or Nubian front until turn 83. So if you would like I can get some soldiers over towards china.

Let me know whats up. Also there is still the chance of some alliances and friendships to help to fight vs the top dogs, so don't give up yet.

Yes I saved the Games and Rec civic for a timely civic swap. I could have gotten it several turns ago but I still did not want to risk it. China built the Temple that give two apostles so that one is out. I do not think the remaining beliefs are that time critical so I would rather spend faith on buildings at the moment.

Walls are good for 100% chopping. Monuments are a better faith buy.

Singaboy continues his posturing and so do I. Does he really want a war over there?

I am going for Iron Working after apprenticeship.

I would love to go for site 7, but it seems I have to rush to the border with Singaboy.

I could use any gold you have, chops for hansas are incoming and I need to clear space for all those districts.

Ok i thought chopping got nerfed to %50. I will save those then. I can save up for monuments and water mills atm.

Should come pretty close to converting all of your cities with the two charges left on my missonary. Iron working is in for me so I can save up for upgrades. I also sent you all of my Icon_Gold in case it is needed sooner rather than later.

Nothing exciting on my turnset. I lost Valennta, but still have two envoy's for when I need to buy something, however I am in need of another missionary so will have to buy that first. Getting a few builders out then going to settle at least one city maybe two.

Let me know if there is anything I need to consider?

A lot going on. First of all, Sulla and Singaboy DoFed. Which is good and bad.

Hansa are a go, I repeat Hansas are a go. Over the next 10 turns madness will ensue.

Finally apprenticeship is in and with it, cheap hansas.

I switch to -20 land purchase and buy 3 more tiles where Hansas will go down. The 3rd commercial district is done and thankfully Singaboy and Sullla made a DoF. I was really worried here, those horsemans could have been very nasty. Now I am on my way to production city with Germany. jive

Also shown, a settler who will race NE.
