T-hawk Wrote:On Die Speicherstadt, I think I'd like a three-player game with you and sooooo. I am at work but often not really working around 5 PM my time / 23:00 CET / 22:00 GMT. With the three of us, maybe we can make a few turn cycles per day around that time. And finish up live on Sunday the 6th if we're not done by then. What do you think? I'm afraid 23:00 is too late for me during the week, with very few exceptions. I need a lot of sleep (over 8 hours! ) to be able to concentrate the next work day, and unfortunately the times when I could sleep longer in the morning are over since I have a daughter who gives a damn about at what time I went to bed. I could play until around 22:45 at the latest, sorry.
That could change in April and May though, when I'm on parental leave. I expect to be up a lot during the night then, and playing some turns for a game while carrying the baby might be a welcome change.
I'd still be interested in a live session on the 6th, though.

Ok, I understand. Let's play on Sunday the 6th then. (I will say that before I get myself in trouble by suggesting an earlier time and then trying to play a full game from work. )

sooooo, you do know that our game of St. Petersbug will end this turn, right? Just asking, because I'm wondering why you bought that green upgrade card. It won't give you points anymore (it only provides points in the green phase). You get 1 point per 10 Rubles in the end though, so hopefully you haven't fallen below a multiple of 10 with your purchase.

Yeah, I mustn't have been concentrating when I bought that card.
@regoarrarr: Our Stone Age game is up and it's your turn. You can turn on email alerts in your profile.

Another close Stone Age loss!
Kylearan 227
sooooo 227
DavidCorperial 173
The tiebreaker is total of tools+fields+people, which I lost by 1 unit! I do notice that on the last turn, after you've played, you don't get to pick your resource from the "shop" cards. I assume (and hope) that the game just picks the resource that would get you the most points.
Anyway, good game! I couldn't go for my usual tools strategy because Kylearan and DavidCorperial kept hogging the toolmakers hut. So I tried to just get wood and culture cards. Ideally I should have gotten some more people earlier too, since I ended up with 5 shamen and only 6 people.

Wow, close game indeed! And it shows that I don't understand the scoring system yet. Why does the game show 37 points for different civilization cards with a green background for you, sooooo? You have 6 different types, so shouldn't you get 36 points (as I have)?
What was your hidden civ card? I suspected it would be a pot, which would have given you 7 different types of green civ cards, and I thought you would win. I'm really surprised I won.
sooooo Wrote:I couldn't go for my usual tools strategy Yeah, I got some tool multipliers early and wanted to go for that strategy at first. But then (I think) David got some tool multipliers as well while I suddenly got some hut multipliers, so I switched my strategy to huts. And then you were starting player when the huts x3 card appeared...
Since this was my first game of Stone Age, I learned a lot and only got a real grasp of it by mid-game. I really like it so far, and I'm looking forward to play it with 4 players! I think the higher contention for resources should allow for even more tactical play.
Speaking of playing it with 4 players... regoarrarr, it's still your first turn.

My hidden card was indeed a pot. Where does it say how many points for civ cards you have? I presume I got 7^2 + 1 = 50 points for civ cards. The extra point is for a duplicate card (they count as starting a new set, so if you get two duplicates the duplicates add +4 points).

Ah, thanks! Good to know.

Yeah, that was a fun one for my first time playing it, as for the shop stuff, it was only giving resources on the last turn so it didn't matter much.

Okay it's my turn in Stone Age, so if anybody can point me to some basic tidbits of what all to do, that would be appreciated.
I've never played the game, nor played on Yucata / with this UI, so ... I'm a bit lost
