I wasn't seriously advocating one, which is why I put an emoticon. :P I was just frustrated with not really seeing all that much concrete during the Day 1

Posting that you had a voting restriction when it apparently didn't need to be public.
Apologies to MJW for posting right at deadline- I wasn't paying any attention to the clock.
I was fairly surprised to find I almost got lynched, didn't even realize I had multiple votes on me until I caught up with the read after posting. Guess that's what I get for trying to keep myself from constantly checking the thread, heh. Whatever, glad an antitown role is gone.

I'd say this is similar to lynching a SK. In the eyes of the mob, he was innocent, but he could arguably be giving off some genuine scum vibes, so that doesn't automatically condemn people who voted for him.
If you know what I mean.

Agreed, why?
Not to speak for Jowy, but I assume his reasoning is that scum would have known that Rowain wasn't one of them (so to speak), so if you assume that I could be scum, then anyone switching from Rowain to me couldn't have been scum attempting to save one of their own at the last minute.
There are obviously a number of flaws in that argument.

Scum would be happy to see town-Rowain lynched on Day 1. He wasn't town of course, but as far as they knew he was.

Of course there are alternative explanations. For instance, if I'm village (which I am), then if there were two scum on Rowain (to ensure his lynch) one might have instead opted to join the last-minute bandwagon on me when it looked likely to succeed in order to spread out suspicion when a villager died. Or the scum could have decided to seize the opportunity to lynch me then & there, possibly because I tend to last in games for a long time if not night-killed.
On a different note, this rule
Quote:Win condition for everyone: You win when your side kills all other factions or nothing can stop it (you don’t win just because the numbers are even).
Leads me to believe that there is a third faction involved, probably a SK. It would be necessary for situations such as there being 6 players left, three being allied scum, two village and the third a third-party.
Three factions is fairly typical for role madness, as well.

A town source of kill or protection can trigger it just as easily, rather than being completely ignored because 'numbers are even, hurp durp'.

Well I'm glad Rowain wasn't straight up town. And I think the fact he was lynched actually gives us something, rather than his alignment.
After the initial bandwagon on Rowain, I mostly cried suspicion on those voters. That in the end Rowain was lynched anyway tells me that the people voting for Rowain were not going with the easy vote but with something they believed. As a result I'm more likely to give those voting Rowain at the end of the day a village lean.
