I've never played the game, nor played on Yucata / with this UI, so ... I'm a bit lost lol

OK, for your first turn you can't go wrong with putting a guy on the agriculture spot. Each turn you have to pay food equal to the number of people you have (currently 5) minus the number on the agriculture track you are.

Okay and thanks for the tip. Is there somewhere that can explain a bit more of things? Unless you want to give me advice every turn lol I did read the rules on the yucata site but it was a bit hard to follow.

Oh and which one is hte agriculture spot? Is it the one with only one opening off to the left?

You could browse the rules and/or strategy forums for Stone Age on boadgamegeek (http://www.boardgamegeek.com). But that might confuse you more than it helps if you've never played the game - at least that what's happened to me. lol

In addition to the rules summary, they also have a link to the original rules pdf - maybe it's a bit clearer there.

Yep!

I'm sure the game will become clearer after having played 1-2 turns. On your first turn, just occupy the agriculture spot. After that, the cheapest (rightmost) civ card looks very interesting (roll for wood, and a x2 meeple bonus), and after that you should probably put the rest of your meeples on wood (or clay, if wood is full by then).

Yeah I had done that and yes more confusion is exactly what happened.

Okay so I put one meeple on the field person but now I can't figure out how to end my turn frown

I am trying to mouse over everything but nothing seems to indicate an end turn, and if I just close the window it doesn't save anything.

So it seems that we all take turns putting down people until all our people are placed? When are we able to buy the cards that you talked about?

There should be some buttons on the bottom of the screen ("next game", "Chat" etc.). One of these should say "End turn"...?

If every player has placed his meeples, players take turns resolving their meeples. You can select every meeple then to execute its action (roll for resources, buy cards etc.). Just remember to roll for resources first if you need those resources to buy a card on the same turn...

Got it - those buttons were hidden off the bottom of my screen but I found it and have ended turn.

Hopefully this will make sense to me at some point lol

If I'm ever doing anything that seems pretty ludicrous, please point it out

Oooops - looks like you did something ludicrous and it was probably our fault for not explaining properly. You put a guy out hunting instead of agriculture. The agriculture spot is the one sunrise has taken.
